About
Graphic Novel:The Trial of the Black Bear
Kensei and Hiro manage to take the map to this place from the Black Bear of Sakashita.
Fight or Flight
Kensei puts the torn map in place and arrives at the camp together with Hiro and Yaeko.
The Line
Hiro, Yaeko and Kensei invade the camp and find the swordsmith. Whitebeard uses a gun and fires at Yaeko, forcing Hiro to teleport with her into an open space.
Out of Time
A guard watches over Yaeko, her father, and Hiro; each is tied up in a tent, and Hiro is incapacitated by a dollop of opium. Yaeko manages to escape, and they all teleport away from the camp, despite the camp supervisor's best efforts to contain them. Hiro tells Yaeko that he must stop Whitebeard by destroying his guns to stop him from changing the future by conquering Japan with them. Hiro pours gunpowder all over Whitebeard's weapons before being attacked by Kensei. During the fight, the gunpowder is ignited and Hiro is forced to teleport away without Kensei. The gunpowder explodes, destroying Whitebeard's guns and his camp, leaving few survivors. After the destruction of his camp, Whitebeard's army is scattered and effectively defeated.
Heroes Evolutions
According to Sword Saint, Takezo Kensei single-handedly defeats Whitebeard's army inside the camp.
Trivia
- According to Greg Beeman's blog, there was a problem with the special effects used to blow up Whitebeard's camp during Out of Time. The explosion "blew out a massive transformer and, supposedly, 7,000 houses lost power that night."
