Sherlock scanning, also known as shawn-o-vision, is the ability to analyze a set amount information, see all details, and draw extraordinary conclusions. It can include enhanced senses, and even enhanced memory.

I can finish my math work about ten times faster than anyone else. I also do outstanding on tests. That's about it for intellectual abilities.

My senses are sharpened as well. I have the ability to hear flourescent lights (They make a humming sound.). Pain is magnified as well, to my dismay.

Apparantly, I've had this ability for most of my life. According to my mother and grandmother, I once impressed some colledge kids and/or their professor with my extensive knowledge and understanding of astronomy. However, I have no memory of this, to I cannot confirm it.

Adrian Monk

Monk is a brilliant detective. One time, he solved a case based on how someone phrased something. On another occation, during a car crash, he was able to see that the person in the other car was a bearded Caucasian male weighing about 127 pounds with only a split second to proccess this information.

His senses are improved, as well. He suffered extreme pain from simply having a small pebble in his shoe.

He also has a photographic memory. He was able to memorize a theatrical act after seeing it only once, and was also able to remember the order of no less than ten decks of cards while playing Blackjack. He can even remember his own birth.

His math skills are advanced as well, as he was able to add up a long series of numbers instantly.

He manifested his ability very early in his life. He was able to figure out who stole the fundraising money in his middle school years. During that time, he was also able to determine how much money was in the box simply by shaking it, though he claimed to not know how he was able to do that.

His ability was heavily impaired while under his OCD medication. He was able to detect that something was wrong with a written note, but was completely unable to determine what. However, when hypnotized to enter a five-year-old state of mind, his ability still worked at full capacity.

Leland Stottlemeyer

His ability is far less advanced than Monk's, though he does occationally demonstrate a similar level of observation.

When heavily intoxicated, he once demonstrated a level of observation that even Monk claimed was beyond him.

He also once claimed to have a good memory, though it is unknown whether or not he is referring to this ability.

Ambrose Monk

His ability to analyze details and remember information are both at least as advanced as that of his brother. He has formulated complex systems to govern his behavior, such as where each newspaper goes, or how much candy to get every Halloween, and is able to effortlessly recall each one.

Shawn Spencer

He was trained by his father to be able to process all details at once, and remember everything at once. However, his ADHD tends to get in the way of it.

His sense of hearing was also heavily enhanced by his father's training.

He is one of the few known cases of abilities passing directly from father to son. He is also the only known case that required training to activate his ability.

Henry Spencer

Like his son, he is able to register details and recall large amounts of information.

Patrick Jane

Jane is also an excellent detective, being able to process large amounts of detail at once. He describes his ability as "just paying attention."

It was once assumed that he also had a photographic memory, as he, like Monk, was able to memorize Blackjack cards. However, it was later revealed that he simply used his knowledge of psychology on himself. He once described his memory as being "an impenetrable fortress," in which "no fact can escape, as long as I stay commited."

Gregory House

He is quite notorious for his ability to diagnose ilnesses with but a cursory glance. He is also rather infamous for his ability to win arguments.

He also has a remarkable ability to recall illness names and symptoms, although all of his colleagues are able to do that as well, so it likely isn't a part of his ability.

Sherlock Holmes

The first known user of the ability. He is able to deduce large amounts of information with only a glance. For example, he was able to deduce that Watson had come from Afganistan from his general demeanor.

Carl Lightman

He mostly uses his ability to detect lies.

Myka Bering

She was recruited specifically for her ability to notice details. She also has a photographic memory.

Edd

Edd is well-known for his high intelligence. He has a particular aptitude for machinery, capable of building highly advanced machinery from common junk.
