| There have been two Mohinders. The Sureshes tailored the fetuses of their children after Shanti, so it would cure her. The first Mohinder died before it was old enough to survive having it's blood taken and used, so a second identical fetus was made to cure Shanti afterwards. || Two different times of birth (one where he was born while his sister was alive, one he was born after) have been given. ||minusWhy make two fetuses, when the first would have been able to cure Shanti? What would the purpose of the current (second) Mohinder be? How would they have been 'tailored?'
noteOnly Mohinder's antibodies seemed to be the cure for Molly and Shanti's sickness. If he was not tailored in some way, wouldn't anyone's antibodies do?
plus After seeing Chandra's taxi drivers license among his personal effects, Mohinder goes to the Chelsea Cab Company. The boss offers him a job and he accepts. (Monsters)
minus Mohinder says that 'sometimes, when a mommy and daddy have a sick child, they have another baby, a healthy baby, with healthy antibodies' (The Hard Part). Seeing how the disease started with Shanti, even though there have been EH's around since the 16th century (Takezo Kensei), there is a high probability that only Mohinder (and perhaps Chandra and Mohinder's mother too, unless Mohinder is an EH himself and only EH relatives of Shanti's have healthy antibodies) can cure the virus. Furthermore, it is improbable that anybody's (EH or not) antibodies would work, else there would be no need to fear this virus spreading over to the general population.

minus No, not really. India has naturally gained a English sounding accent due to its roots in the British empire.
| Mohinder is related to Takezo Kensei. || None || minus Mohinder is of Indian descent, while Kensei is of European or Western descent.
minusThe fact that Nathan could tell Mohinder's tired gives it away.
:plus After so many generations it is very likely that any obvious trace of descendants should have be "washed" through the generations.
minus Mohinder slept (and had his dreams manipulated by Sanjog) while in Chennai. Both times, he seems to have fallen asleep unintentionally.
plus Takezo has traveled the world, he might have gone to India on his way to Japan.
plus Perhaps Mohinder discovered his insomnia power after his encounter with Sanjog.
note If Mohinder is related to Kensei then it is unlikely that he wouldn't inherit an ability.
| Mohinder has a power. || None. ||plusWhen asked by Bennet "Are you on the list?", he changes the subject.
| Mohinder Suresh may be a name variation of the semi-mythical "Beast of the Middle East", Sirrush, and possibly be the monster in which he was transforming into. || None || plus The Sirrush beast's appearance was that of a dragon-like creature that was covered in scales (much like those on Mohinder's back) a head like a snake's with folds within the skin, one horn protruding on its head, a forked tongue, long neck with a slender tail and the front legs of a lion and the back legs of an eagle.
plus His sister Shanti was infected with "the virus", which only infects these evolved humans, so it's very possible that he has a power too.
plus This creature was mentioned in the apocryphal Bel and the Dragon, an addition to the Book of Daniel of the Old Testament, further suggesting the connection between main character names and biblical names i.e. Peter, Gabriel, Noah, etc.
plus It would explain Chandra's persistant enthusiasm with the whole topic of evolution.
minus The Sirrush is Arabian, specifically Babylonian, not Indian.
plus Only Mohinder's anti-bodies can cure the virus. This would make sense as his DNA would be pretty close to Shanti's, the first recorded case of the virus.
note Noah gathered animals like Noah Bennet gathers evolved humans; Peter led the church after Christ's death in the same way Peter Petrelli leads the heroes after Isaac's; Gabriel was the angel of death, specifically seen smiting those unworthy of heaven, much like Sylar "smites" those deemed unworthy of their powers. Daniel channeled God to keep from being eaten; there is no symbolic tie-in to Mohinder's situation.
noteMohinder's power could be healing that disease. It's pretty specific, but so is Alejandro's ability to counteract Maya's ability.
plus In The Line one of Isaac Mendez's paintings shows Mohinder having smoke come from his finger.
minus Mohinder clearly is holding a gun, there is smoke coming out of it, not out of his finger.
minus In Blackout, Part 1, the patient asks Mohinder if he is one of the special people he talks about. Mohinder says that he isn't. He has no reason to lie to the man either.
plus He could be in denial or unaware of his abilities.

| Mohinder is related to Takezo Kensei.|| None. ||minus Mohinder is of Indian descent, while Kensei is of European or Western descent.
| Mohinder will marry Maya in the future. || None || plus He loves her, and she loves him. She never really left him permanently.
:plus After so many generations it is very likely that any obvious trace of descenty should have be "washed" through the generations.
minus Maya has left the US and went back to the Dominican Republic, after Arthur removed her ability.
plus Takezo has traveled the world, he might have gone to India on his way to Japan.
:note Maya lives in New Jersey. She cannot return to Dominican Republic, she's still wanted for murder. The police might not even know Alejandro is dead.
Note If Mohinder is related to Kensei then it is unlikely that he wouldn't inherite an ability. Though his sister had an ability so it may have skipped his generation.
minus Maya told Mohinder to stay away from her, after what he did.
Note None of the wives that Kensei mentioned were Indian. Though he could have slept with an Indian women without marrying her.
minus Mohinder has a new girlfriend.
Minus The only thing that supports this theory is the fact that Kensei has been around for a long time. As Evan and Khufu prove, there were other evolved humans before, or at the same time as Kensei.
:note Said girlfriend said she wouldn't wait for Mohinder if he tried to uncover more of his father's research.
| Mohinder is morphing into a cockroach after using the serum|| None. ||plus In the past powers have been somewhat related to the users needs or desires. Based on Mohinder's lectures on the cockroach and its use as a symbol of evolution in the show, it would follow that Mohinder's power would be based on the cockroach.
:plus His abilities shown thus far (agility, clinging to walls, enhanced strength) are characteristics of the cockroach.
plus When Mohinder turned on the bathroom light, it made him recoil, similar to how a cockroach reacts to light.
::minusHe had just woken up.
:::plus He closed the curtains of his place in episode 4 Season 3.
plusThe Cockroach has been a prominent figure in the show in the past, and Mohinder made it a part of his speech in the opening scene on the first episode of heroes, stating that the Cockroach has reached the pinnacle of evolution likening it to god.
plusIn the second episode, Mohinder's seduction of Mya could be because of pheromones, which he now has the ability to use. This would make sense because in previous times when he displayed affection towards her she pulled away.
plusHe now has a sudden urge for sugar (He was drinking chocolate milk a lot. Which if I'm not mistaken is the first time we have seen him eat.)
plusA cockroach crawls over the voice recorder Mohinder used to record his notes about the genetic modification formula he created. Could be a "sign".
|-
| Mohinder is morphing into a spider after using the serum|| None. ||plus His enhanced human capabilities including super strength, super speed, wall-crawling, and webbing are similar to that of Spider-Man.
:plus Additionally, his abilities pre-transformation seem similar to those of Spider-Man's nemesis, the Green Goblin. It could be an homage of some sort.
noteWhy would they steal ideas from a very popular comic book?
:noteHmmm... because the producers already did it, taking the idea of metamorphosis from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fly movie?
|-
| Mohinder is morphing into a lizard after using the serum|| None. ||plus Those things on his back could be scales.
plus Chandra's pet lizard was also named Mohinder. The writers could have used that as foreshadowing as to what human Mohinder would become.
| Mohinder Suresh is becoming Uluru. || Mohinder injected himself with his experimented serum. It was shown in the season 3 premier.|| plus Mohinder woke up scaly, having a rocky back and slimy hands after making love to Maya. Before that, he had his own powers. He was super enhanced.
| Mohinder's cocoon was meant to evolve him to the next stage, but the eclipse interrupted this, causing more harm than good. || None || plus Mohinder's health deteriorates more quickly after the eclipse than it had before.
minusAt the 2007 San Diego Comic Con, Tim Kring said that Uluru only exists in the pages of the comic book.
plus Mohinder's ability has been called "insect-like"; cocoons are part of the life-cycle of some insects.
:minusSomething about cannons.
|-
|-
| Mohinder's ability includes spinning web or something of that sort. || plusMaya and his neighbor is cocooned in some kind of white substance.
| Mohinder's enhanced strength is weaker than Niki's. || None || plus When Mohinder was imprisoned he couldn't break the metal bar to escape.
:minus He was drugged and unconscious.
plus Niki would most likely be able to escape, as her strength has enabled her to break a safe door so the metal bar would be no problem for her. (Stolen Time)
|-
|-
| Mohinder might be a father. || He slept with Maya in season 3, ep. 2 "The Butterfly Effect".|| plusShe may be pregnant. Mohinder wasn't the only one that slept with Maya. Sylar slept with her in season 2.
| Mohinder obtained enhanced strength because of Niki. || None || plus Evolution states the animals evolve skills to survive and being Niki's partner might have rubbed off.
:minus He wasn't Niki's partner anymore.
plus Ando developed the ultimate sidekick power as this was how he saw himself. Perhaps subconciously as a tribute to Niki, his mind/body gave him enhanced strength instead of agility.
:minus Or rather because he wanted to have a power to defend himself and others from people like Sylar.
|-
|-
| Mohinder Suresh may be a name variation of the Semimythical Beast of the Middle East, Sirrush, and possibly be the monster in which he is transforming into.|| None. || plus The Sirrush beast's appearance was that of a dragon-like creature that was covered in scales (much like those on Mohinder's back) a head like a snake's with folds within the skin, one horn protruding on its head, a forked tongue, long neck with a slender tail and the front legs of a lion and the back legs of an eagle.
| Mohinder's ability is enhanced reflexes and enhanced muscle. || None || plus While Peter had his ability, he was very strong and he could perform great moves. (Orientation)
plus This creature was mentioned in the apocryphal Bel and the Dragon, an addition to the Book of Daniel of the Old Testament, further suggesting the connection between main character names and biblical names i.e. Peter, Gabriel, Noah, etc.
:minus Peter wasn't particularly fast in those scenes, it was slow enough for him to accurately coordinate his movements. Even the leaps can be explained by enhanced strength in his leg muscles.
|-
|-
| Mohinder has the power of a butterfly, and needs to pupate at which point he will evolve to become a superhuman being, but doesn't realise this.|| None. || plus Mohinder is producing silk, which caterpillars do when they need to pupate.
| Mohinder will be killed by Sylar. || None || plus He is one of the lesser main characters like the deceased Nathan.
plus Butterflies have often been mentioned in the series, such references to stepping on too many butterflies when time traveling.
plus All the other non Carnival evolved humans with his ability are dead like Michael and his older partner Niki.
:minus Often? I can't even think of one instance besides that metaphorical one. Hardly "often".
plus Sylar likes powers and had had confrontations with Mohinder several times.
plus Mohinder has not necessarily killed the people he has attached to his wall, at least one of them was still alive when Maya found him, so he might not be evil and feeding on them like a spider would.
plus According to Samuel, Sylar likes more vulnerable prey, like a man pumped with drugs in an institution.
plus When Peter traveled into the future, Mohinder did not seem to have changed form all that much, such as growing 8 limbs, so if he needs to pupate like a caterpillar, he probably still hasn't realized it at this point and is fighting the impulse to do so, thus remaining in a form similar to his current one.
plus Mohinder still wants revenge for his father who Sylar killed.
plus Butteflies have scales on their wings, Mohinder has scales on his skin, and spiders do not have scales.
plus Mohinder, Noah and Hiro three of Sylar's enemies are united against Samuel. This means a likely confrontation against Sylar.
plus The worst of the peeling of Mohinder's skin is around his shoulders, so he might be growing wings under there.
minus Sylar has now changed and become a hero, he doesn't want to kill anyone anymore so it's unlikely he will kill Mohinder for no reason, plus Mohinder is in India now and has no intention of returning to the USA.
plus Butterflies have bright colors for the same reason birds do, to attract mates, which is why Maya may have suddenly been attracted to Mohinder when she never was before.
plus Everyone other than Mohinder has either gotten their powers at conception, or been injected with them by the company shortly after birth, so perhaps pupating into a new form is necessary for someone who is injected with an ability granting serum at an older age.
minus His form in the future is far more insidious than a butterfly or catepillar. One would think he'd have transformed by that point seeing as he was in seclusion.
plus Mohinder's future form did not look all that 'insidious'. And he may not have transformed or pupated either because he doesn't realise he should, or is frightened of the prospect and actively resisting it with his will, or with medication of some kind. In addition, the ugliness of his appearance in the future might specifically be due to NOT making a cocoon for himself and transforming when he should.
|-
|-
| Mohinder's formula works just fine, its just that his power (When the formula interacts with "his individual biochemistry") has the 'drawback' of making him a monster, similar to the drawbacks we have seen for other powers (Sylar, Claire, Elle) || None || plus As mentioned, there are a variety of characters in the show that have powers that come with drawbacks, Mohinder's power could simply have side effect such as a 'hunger' (Analogous to Sylar) and unfortunate physical changes.
| Mohinders transforming in to a kind of cockroach human hybrid || None || plusMohinder talks about how Cockroaches are the height of evolution. Then before he starts getting scaly he says that he Is the same only better.
|-
| Mohinder will marry Maya in the future. || None. || plus He loves her, and she loves him. She never really left him permanently.
minus Maya has left the US and went back to the Dominican Republic, after Arthur removed her ability.
minus Maya telled Mohinder to stay away from her, after what he did.

Mohinder has lived in the US prior to Genesis. Mohinder has a license to drive a taxi cab. (Genesis). + To acquire such a license in the 36 hours the show leaves him is impossible. Therefore he must have acquired the license, or at least its prerequisites, at a previous date.

+ After seeing Chandra's taxi drivers license among his personal effects, Mohinder goes to the Chelsea Cab Company. The boss offers him a job and he accepts. (Monsters)
- Mohinder may have been awarded the license illegally. Mohinder's license expires on a day that doesn't exist. It could be a fake, but this most likely a production gaffe or an in-joke.
+ Many people who study English choose to spend a few years in an English speaking country.

- India is an English-speaking country.

If the accent is an intended trait and not an acting variable, then it would seem as if Mohinder has spent a good amount of time in a primarily English speaking country, probably in Europe.
- No, not really. India has naturally gained a English sounding accent due to its roots in the British empire.

Nathan Petrelli was born to two evolved humans and still didn't have an ability.

None of the wives that Kensei mentioned were Indian. Though he could have slept with an Indian women without marrying her.
