In the graphic novel Hiro says that after the explosion he started to work on a way to prevent it all, but doesn't specifically say that he worked on the web. | |||
Later on he says that after five years he began to understand how time and space worked, "time was not a line or a fabric, but the product of lives, interweaved". I guess he started the development of string web at this point. | |||
I can't remember what he said in the episode, Hardvaice claims he worked on it for years, he might be right. But I think there is a possible contradiction. | |||

Development
In the graphic novel Hiro says that after the explosion he started to work on a way to prevent it all, but doesn't specifically say that he worked on the web. I guess he started the development of string web at this point. I can't remember what he said in the episode, Hardvaice claims he worked on it for years, he might be right. But I think there is a possible contradiction.
