About
While most of the evolved humans in Heroes did not discover their special abilities until their 20's or 30's, there are a few examples of children who have demonstrated powers at much younger ages . These children consistently have parents who are also evolved humans.
Another indication that special powers run run in families is the tendency of siblings to have powers, but it does not guarantee powers. Nathan Petrelli and Peter Petrelli are brothers who have powers. However, it is unknown whether Jessica Sanders had powers before her death. Her sister Niki Sanders, however, has powers through her alternate personality, Jessica.
Examples
- Micah Sanders is the son of D.L. Hawkins and Niki Sanders.
- Claire Bennet is the daughter of Meredith Gordon.
Notes
- Sanjog Iyer has special abilities as a child, but we know nothing about his parents.
- Janice and Matt Parkman are expecting a child; whether the child of will have powers remains to be seen.
- Nathan Petrelli has two children, but neither of them have demonstrated special abilities.
- Some fans speculate that Mohinder's sister, Shanti Suresh, had powers: she had some kind of genetic abnormality; her parents described her as "special"; and she inspired father's research. Mohinder, however, has not shown any evidence of powers.
