Held by: | Stephen Canfield |
Ability to: | Create a vortex that sucks its surroundings into an infinite abyss. |
Vortex creation is the ability create a deadly vortex at will. A created vortex can stay without conscious effort on the creator's part, but will vanish on its own. It is quite powerful, and anything nearby that isn't holding onto something or attached to something is sucked in.
Characters
- Stephen Canfield is the only character known to have this ability.
Limits
Canfield can use this ability selectively, creating a small vortex with precision accuracy to disarm Claire in Angels and Monsters.
Canfield can create a vortex and let it exist independently. However, vortexes so created have a limited lifespan of approximately one minute. After that time they dissipate on their own.
Canfield can spontaneously generate vortexes when he loses his temper.
The upper limits of a vortex's "strength" to pull in objects is unknown. The strongest vortex that Canfield created was capable of pulling in the equivalent weight of an average teenage girl, and could rip wooden boards out of a floor.
