    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.

Heh

Love your username. It'll look interesting on talk pages. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 11:43, 16 December 2007 (EST)

  • Indeed, you might want to pick a nickname. Maybe Parendot? Also, if for some reason you chose this username by mistake you can have it changed if you ask Admin.--MiamiVolts (talk) 11:47, 16 December 2007 (EST)

I dont know how any of this works :(--(. .') (talk) 12:08, 16 December 2007 (EST)

  • If you want to come up with a nickname, go to the upper right hand corner where it says "my preferences" and cloick on it. Go to the "nickname" space and type [[User:(. .')|Parendot]] or [[User:(. .')|(. .')]] --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 13:04, 16 December 2007 (EST)
    • Also, you'll want to add your signature/timestamp when you leave a comment on a talk page such as this one. That lets others know the comment was yours and when you left it. To do so, at the end of a comment type --~~~~ or click the signature button to do the typing for you, and then click 'save page'. I just added the signature/timestamp for your comment that you didn't know how any of this works.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:15, 16 December 2007 (EST)

After some exploration i have discovered you can make your own heroes page like for real characters but a custom one, how do i do this?--(. .') (talk) 13:56, 6 January 2008 (EST)

  • I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean like a subpage? If so, just type "User:(. .')/nameOfSubpage" and click create. --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 14:13, 6 January 2008 (EST)
    • To be more specific, you can make an article in your Userspace by entering "User:(. .')/<article name>" into the search box and clicking "Go". Then, click on the redlink to edit the page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:16, 6 January 2008 (EST)

O_O I did one.. WHERE HAS IT GONE, :( I cant find the template thing now >_<!!!--(. .') 12:28, 18 January 2008 (EST)

  • O There it is... xD--(. .') 12:38, 18 January 2008 (EST)
    • Here is something I do so that I dont loose my subpages: I have my userpage open AND the subpage I want to create open. Before I start editing my new subpage, I put a link to my subpage in my userpage. I do this by copying and pasting the title of the subpage into my userpage and surrounding it with two square brackets (these: [[]]). That way, I can always find my subpages by going to my userpage.
    • To find your userpage from anywhere in the Wiki, simply look for the line at the very top of the page that reads:
    • (. .') My talk My preferences My watchlist My contributions Log out
    • and click on your username. :)--SacValleyDweller (talk) 12:54, 18 January 2008 (EST)

Custom ability

Oh yes and also, Is it possible to make a page for a custom power? --(. .') 14:15, 18 January 2008 (EST)

  • Yes. Start another subpage and click the gray button that says "Fan power" --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 14:58, 18 January 2008 (EST)
    • And um.. How do i make a subpage? --(. .') 15:08, 18 January 2008 (EST)
      • To make a subpage, enter User:(. .')/<name of subpage> into the text box, click the 'Go' button, then click on the redlink for editing the page which appears.--MiamiVolts (talk) 15:47, 18 January 2008 (EST)
        • Ty--(. .') 15:51, 18 January 2008 (EST)
      • Also, if you ever lose track of your subpages, you can either do a dpl call to list them like I've done on my user page, or you can use a version of 'Special:Prefixindex' by following this link (note that the url encoding of the space character is the + sign). Currently, you have made a subpage called "User:(. .')/nameOfSubpage"...I'm not sure that you meant to name it that, but you should know that you can replace the text <name of subpage> with whatever name you want.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:01, 18 January 2008 (EST)

Alsoooooo I wamt a pic next to my custom power but i uploaded it on photobucket and when i put the link of the pic next to | Image = and it just says the url as a link which doesnt work...--(. .') 16:05, 18 January 2008 (EST)

  • If you are going to use Image =, you need to upload the file to Heroes Wiki, not photobucket. Just use the 'upload file' link in the navbar on the left side of the screen.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:09, 18 January 2008 (EST)
  • I get it now... --(. .') 16:14, 18 January 2008 (EST)

Out of sheer curiosity...

...How'd you come up with your unique username? :)--SacValleyDweller (talk) 18:26, 19 February 2008 (EST)
