Artist grades

With regards to the artists themselves, I give them the following grades and my critiques and comments on them. Not surprisingly, my favoritism of the GNs themselves on the basis of art alone tends to follow these grades

Artist Grade Critique and Comments
Jason Badower A+ + Spot on likenesses

+ High impact action
Robert Atkins A + Smooth and clean with rich texture

Abilities

If I could have any of the abilities seen in Heroes, I would find the following abilities at the very least handy, and at the most "OMG how did I live without this?":

(In order of preference) Telekinesis, Regeneration, Flight, Teleportation, Telescopic vision, Enhanced Hearing, Lung adaptation, the time stopping aspect of Space-time manipulation, Freezing, underwater breathing.

The following abilities (in no order) I like seeing on the show because they look awesome and are quite handy. However, I wouldn't want them because...

  • ...they would be too dangerous if accidentally activated:
Lightning (and to a lesser extent, its cousin, Electrical absorption), Induced radioactivity, Acid secretion, Microwave emission.
  • ...their use seems to come with some complications:
Telepathy: I'd hear stuff that I shouldn't, might turn an advanced aspect (like nightmare induction) on at the wrong time.
Lie detection: Trust issues come with that one, although it would be handy if I were in some occupations.
Invisibility: How do you know when it's on?
Phasing: How do you know when it's on? How do you not accidentally fall through the floor?
Enhanced speed: I'd have to watch what I'm doing and look where I'm going too much.
Space-time manipulation (the whole ability): the whole Rift thing
  • ...they are plain unneeded in my day to day existence.
