Talk:Caitlin's flat
Rename to Caitlin's flat
Is their any reason not to have this place be named as "Caitlin's flat" instead of "Caitlin's apartment?" Consistency perhaps, but it doesn't seem appropriate to name it "apartment" here, when it is referred to as a "flat" in-show and, to my knowledge, would be correctly called a "flat" in Irish English, just so it conforms to the American English lexicon.--SacValleyDweller 22:17, 25 October 2007 (EDT)
- I don't really care one way or another, though we would probably have to change Isaac Mendez's apartment to "Isaac's loft", though I could go either way on that one. However, "Caitlin's apartment" doesn't bother me at all. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:21, 25 October 2007 (EDT)
- British person here able to confirm that we do say "Flat" over here. However, for this article, I don't think it matters all that much.-- Lost Soul talk contribs 02:41, 26 October 2007 (EDT)
- Being another British man, the word "apartment" will be fine. --DocM 09:19, 26 October 2007 (EDT)
- no strong feelings either way, so im gonna go ahead and rename.--SacValleyDweller 00:11, 28 October 2007 (EDT)
- I guess I should bring this up now that we don't necessarily need to name a place only using the phrase by which it's identified on the show. For instance, if West says "Claire, let's go back to my crib", I wouldn't want to name that article "West's crib". I don't mind with this article, I just want to set some kind of limit for the future. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:13, 28 October 2007 (EDT)
