Fanfiction Portal

Hello Untold Tales, Me and Jenx have been working on creating a fanfiction portal. We have a test example here, with an old template you might recognize. We would like to know your input on this and another topic we have, an annual Fanfiction Awards Ceremony. I (just thinking to myself, I haven't talked to Jenx yet, but) I think that it would get a little annoying to type your latest video in both the fanfic portal and the summaries page. So I was thinking that we could create a page (like Template:Currentep) in your userspace that would update both at the same time. I would take care of making it for you and tell you how to use it.   • I left this on your series' talk page. I don't know if you saw it or not. But I've noticed that you edit every page once a new chapter comes out. You need to make a "Currentep" link that you edit every time one comes out and you won't have to edit EVERY page in the FanFic Portal. See here for an example. Every unused image you find should be listed with afd, like this {{afd|reason=unused}}. You can also find unused images right here:Special:Unusedimages. And about sources, yes you should put an afd on them and then ask the uploader to source the image otherwise it will be deleted.   • On the Heroes TV Fanatic website, the reviewer gave a list of the "plot holes" that were in the last episode. So I told them all how it worked out, then one made the joke about how I was filling in the plot holes. Under each post, there is small gray text that usually says something about when, how, and/or why the tweet was posted. If you click on the time the tweet was posted (like "about 19 hours ago"), then it will take you to a page that shows just the individual post. Image crediting

mc_hammark, I understand what you want concerning image Image:My_Firefly_Portal.jpg; I really do, but that image was PhotoShopped long before I put it up on HeroesWiki. The images that it's composed of were taken from Google Images and stripedwall.com, and are no longer available. In fact, the first time you asked for crediting, I was able to locate them all, but the image was reverted and I lost all that information. For now, I've removed the image from its proper page and will let it die under your ax. I will create another image to represent my story (with proper crediting, of course) and keep this one for my own personal collection. Congratulations on your very recent promotion to Patroller.   • Honestly? If I've learned anything, it's that we look for too many character connections that aren't there. I'm of the opinion that none of them are the father, but if I had to choose one, it would be Carlos. We don't know anything about him, so he may have been the kind of guy to sleep around, and may have been Ted's father. Whoops, my bad

In makin' this revision, I forgot that it was (kinda) helpful to keep the profile ID no.'s in there. Since it doesn't matter which profile id you click on to enter the password, havin' the ID no.'s is actually pretty silly. I mean, profile P013 is supposed to be Chris Coolidge's, but not really parametrically tied in to the profile into... But yeah, I should've kept those in, I suppose. 'ROESian

Question

Do you think it's worth buying the season one DVD to see Godsend, The Fix, Distractions, Run!, Unexpected, Parasite, The Hard Part, and Landslide? I've never seen those episodes, but it's like $65 in the U.S.--BOYCOOL -- THE END IS NIGH. 13:48, 3 April 2010 (EDT)

  • Pardon me for butting in, but I totally think those few episodes are worth the price. Godsend, Distractions, Unexpected, and The Hard Part in particular are some of the best episodes of the season. However, I'm sure you can find a better price than $65. Amazon has it for $40. (Even the Blu-ray is only $50.) But I'm sure you can find something like this, where prices start at $12 for a used DVD. AT Template

Hi Mark, the assignment tracker template uses a background image to make it look like the official ones, all the template does is put text on top of it. To make it look like the other one you mentioned you'd need to make a new image for the background then edit the template to position all the text in the correct locations. Sylar (The bomb?)

Didn't Future Hiro say that Sylar was the bomb in the original explosion future, the one where he had RCR? --Boycool Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream.   • Hmm. This is a tricky one. I'll explain the futures best I can.
  1. Sylar had RCR in the original future. Although Hiro said Sylar was the bomb, Peter could still have been the bomb in that future.
  2. Sylar didn't have RCR. Hiro still thought that Sylar was the bomb though, even though we know it was Peter.

We can't say whether it was Peter or Sylar in the original one, since Hiro didn't really know, that's just what was reported, and it'd be speculative to say so. Do you see what I'm saying? --mc_hammark 20:55, 11 May 2010 (EDT)

Definition of a significant other

  • And if sleeping with someone once is the only qualification for calling someone a significant

other, then Casey Z. Smith, whom Hanna Gitelman slept with to steal his pass key, back when she was after the Lone Star Files, should be listed as a former significant other for her.
