  • It's determined by the creators or NBC, I forgot which. When it comes to cast categories it's the only category that's not arbitrary. It comes down to how the creators/NBC wants to credit a particular actor/actress. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how prominent they are or anything. For example, Tawny Cypress (Simone) was credited as a main character despite having very little actual airtime. (Admin 22:14, 24 September 2007 (EDT))

Otsu and Kyoto

As far as I can remember, nothing actually happens in Kyoto, though there is stuff that happens on the outskirts of Otsu. We should probably merge Kyoto with Otsu, and delete the pictures of Kyoto. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:46, 25 September 2007 (EDT)

More powers to review and discuss... Woohoo!

1. Alejandro and Maya -- (looks like it safe to say at least that Maya is an evolved human now). Should we name Maya's power as viral poisoning? Talk about it here.
2. Bob -- turning a spoon into gold...Aurification? Talk about it here.
3. Peter -- was that Ted's radioactivity he emitted from his hands or a new power? Remember that Ted could make his hands glow white-hot? Talk about it here.
4. Evil red riding hood? How did she/he fall so many stories and survive? Is Kaito dead?

• I for one don't understand the rush here. I'd rather we be accurate than first to name something. We simply don't know enough about Maya and Alejandro's power(s) to give them a name. Heck, we can't even be completely clear about how the victims died--for all the evidence we've seen, she could have beat them to death with a stick and poured treacle on their eyes and mouth. It's entirely appropriate to note the state of the victims on her page, and to note that she seems to believe she is an evolved human, but it's still too early to be worried about naming a power, making a page for it, etc. There's just no point when we can probably make a much better, less speculative attempt in a week. And since we still haven't seen her actually use her power, we can't even really confirm that she's an evolved human. Bob's another story--we've at least seen him use his power. And I definitely want another look at Peter's scene. My initial impression was that it was just TK, but it did look a bit like an energy blast.--Hardvice (talk) 03:39, 25 September 2007 (EDT)
  • Heh. The rush appears to be more on the producers part... Unlike the first season, the producers seems to have pounded in a lot more of the character's powers in the first episode. Last year, we had more time to get to know most of the characters before the Genesis of their powers.   • I agree, I don't think there's any rush to naming a power. I'm not opposed to putting a small blurb on Maya's page under the heading "Powers", but we know almost nothing about it (and the argument could be made that it might not have been her at all).     • Per #3 above, there is no new Peter power. I first thought that too, and said, "ooh cool new blue-bolt ray"....but when I re-watched it frame-by-frame, all it ended up being was Peter turning towards the irish guys, and the blue-bulbed flashlight reflecting off of Peter's palm just before he pushed them away with regular old Telekinesis. Mirror

Did anyone get what Nathan was looking at in the mirror at the bar? If my guess is correct he's looking at him self, but what the hell is wrong with him? Is it just his imagination because he's drunk or what?

• Greg Beeman says, "He drinks alone in a bar and is haunted by a disfigured version of himself. Who is this vision and what is the symbolism behind his horrible disfigurement?"   • I took it to be more of a physical disfigurement he suffered when Peter went nuclear, that is somehow hid from public view by an unknown SG power. It could have been burn scars. The Guy who killed Kaito

    • It seems people fall off buildings or get shot often in Heroes, only to get up and walk away later. I would definitely not make a page for the mysterious person right now, but we can certainly refer to him or her as needed. We know the beginning episodes are a murder mystery, and the identity of that person will be revealed.         • Why doesn't he deserve an article? He was talked about a lot by Angela and Kaito, then appeared and did something very significant. Many characters that have done less than that have had pages created for them. If he turns out to be a character we already know, then the pages can be merged. Conduit 14:37, 25 September 2007 (EDT)
          • I'm more concerned with him being treated as a separate entity (especially in the appearances page), when we've been told that the identity may already be known. I'm not so much opposed to an article on the person (though I certainly wouldn't assume it's a "he" or a "guy") as I am to giving the character an identity when he or she may aleady have one. Hooden villain Male or Female?

The Hooded Assassin is a male. When I was editting the film and burning it to DVD last night, I examined the frames quite closely, and tried very carefully to photoshop his face out of the darkness....they really hid it well, BTW, nothing was discernable. Lead image

For the lead image, I'd much rather see another image. In fact, I'd rather see an image from just about any storyline other than Hiro's. In truth, Hiro's story is the only one which does not take place four months later. I think a nice shot of Nathan in the bar, disheveled and bearded, would be a good symbol for the changes that have occurred in the last four months. Other good options are the Bennets at dinner, Mohinder in the lecture hall, or Matt and Molly at Mohinder's. Personally, Nathan's changed countenance speaks the loudest, visually, so that one gets my vote. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:13, 25 September 2007 (EDT)

• Yeah, if we're gonna have Hiro as the lead image, it should be Hiro under the arrows. That was his coolest scene. When I get home, I can upload the pic of the Hooded Assassin. I think he was the most 'mysterious' and possible his red-symboled storieline of hunting the elder statesmen will probably become a major story-arc. If it isn't too dark and fuzzy, it would be a good candidate; or the flashlight reflecting into Peter's palm as he TKs the guy...that's another good shot.   • I wouldn't use the assassin pic as the lead image because it really doesn't symbolize the intervening four months. I'd go with a character we know already, and show the toll the time has taken on them, or at least how they've changed.
