Bryan Fuller is a consulting producer and a writer for the show Heroes. Fuller joined the crew immediately after the pilot episode as a consulting producer. He was promoted to co-executive producer with the eighth episode of Season One, Seven Minutes to Midnight. Fuller left the crew at the end of the first season but he returned for the fourth volume.

About

Starting his television career in 1997 by writing for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Bryan Fuller is a veteran of television writing and producing. He has written for the shows Star Trek: Voyager, Dead Like Me, and Wonderfalls, all of which he has also served as producer. Bryan also played a small role in one episode of Wonderfalls. He left Heroes to be executive producer on the dramedy Pushing Daisies (which starred Ellen Greene and Swoosie Kurtz, and featured Dana Davis, Mark Harelik, Jayma Mays, Missi Pyle, and Kristin Veitch in cameo roles). He later went on to create, produce, and write the highly successful series Hannibal (which starred Zachary Quinto and Ellen Greene, and consisted of crew members David Semel, Adam Kane, Jesse Alexander, Jeph Loeb).


Trivia

  • Bryan created and produced Wonderfalls, which prominently features a small wax lion. This lion can be seen on Niki's nightstand in the Sanderses' home. (Better Halves)
  • After Bryan left Heroes, the creative team decided to name Detective Fuller in Bryan's honor.
  • In an episode of Pushing Daisies, there is a small reference to Heroes when a character says, "Maybe there's an eclipse and it goes away."
  • After the cancellation of Pushing Daisies, Bryan returned to Heroes. He helped produce "Fugitives", the fourth volume, and he wrote the episode Cold Snap. He wrote the role of Millie with former Pushing Daisies star Swoosie Kurtz in mind.
  • Bryan is an avid fan of Star Trek. His favorite series is Deep Space Nine and he's expressed his desire to create another TV series set in the same timeframe as the upcoming film directed by J.J. Abrams and starring Zachary Quinto as Spock. He plans for the proposed series to be set on a different starship than the Enterprise.
