Redirect

So far, there is no redirect from Run to Run! ... Do we want to keep it that way to avoid anybody leaving off the exclamation point when linking, or do we want to create the redirect to aid searching? My personal preference is to not create the redirect, since I consider it a spelling mistake. Plus, anybody looking for the episode can find it quite easily, in my opinion. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:54, 12 February 2007 (EST)

  • I think this may be one of the exceptions where the search value outweighs the spelling value. After all, we have 9th Wonders without the exclamation point as a redirect already.--Hardvice (talk) 20:16, 12 February 2007 (EST)
    • I'm not opposed to it, I just have an opinion against it. (Is that a contradictory statement?) Personally, I think we should get rid of the 9th Wonders and Ninth Wonders links, too. But that's just me.... — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:26, 12 February 2007 (EST)

Simone

  • *Sigh* She was listed in the TVGuide blurb. Cut again. I think she's now tied for number of appearances with Mr. Muggles.--Tawny Cypress Fanboy (talk) 23:33, 12 February 2007 (EST)
    • Even more shocking, Peter wasn't in this episode. Is the apocalypse near? — I heart Milo (talk) 23:49, 12 February 2007 (EST)
      • I must be a Peter-hater, because I thoroughly enjoyed a Peter-free episode. (I did remember to capitalize all the "Peter"s, right?)--Hardvice (talk) 23:54, 12 February 2007 (EST)

Sylar's Epiphany Quote

  • Could someone transcribe Sylar's quote about his epiphany when he is pretending to be Zane Taylor. He says something like "Maslow's law" or some named reference. I didn't quite catch it. Please ease my troubled mind. Thanks, --AverageMan 15:47, 13 February 2007 (EST)
    • He refers to good ol' Abraham Maslow's "pinnacle" ... the self-actualization that's the highest point of Maslow's much better known hierarchy of needs. Maslow's basic thrust was that human beings have different levels of needs that operate as tiers, so that you have to have your basic needs (like food and shelter) met before meeting your social needs, etc. Only when all your tiers of needs have been met can you achieve self-actualization. I'll try to get Sylar's exact quote.--Hardvice (talk) 15:52, 13 February 2007 (EST)
      • Awesome, HARDVICE you da man. By the way, I was stunned that Mohinder didn't recognize Sylar as his father's murderer. I thought Mohinder got a good look at Sylar in Seven Minutes to Midnight. --AverageMan 15:59, 13 February 2007 (EST)
        • Nope, he never saw Sylar's face in that dream. However, he might theoretically identify Sylar's watch if he takes a close look at it. --Ted C 16:07, 13 February 2007 (EST)

Image choice

Just gotta point out that the use of the near Hitchcockian stair shot from this episode is a particularly poignant and otherwise superb choice for this episode. Kudos for whoever chose that one over the others. -- ZachsMind 13:21, 14 February 2007 (EST)

  • An especially good choice considering that Greg Beeman specifically mentioned on his blog that he liked how the stairway shots came out. (Admin 14:00, 14 February 2007 (EST))
    • Hmm.. I was wondering if there was more Hitchcock references after I made the Psycho page :) What move is the stairs a reference to? Vertigo? --Frantik (Talk) 07:18, 26 February 2007 (EST)

Kermit Park

  • I think this is just a common area inside the trailer park. As they walk over to the picnic table, you can see trailers in the background.--Hardvice (talk) 09:44, 16 February 2007 (EST)
    • Yeah, good point. I didn't see the trailers. I didn't link it because it doesn't need its own page, just a mention either on Miss Piggy or on white trash central. Actually, more than anything, I was making a note of it to myself last night. :) I'll take care of it now. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:33, 16 February 2007 (EST)

Matt's Security Job

I've seen a few indications that when Matt becomes a bodyguard in this episode, he's forming his own security company. The only verifiable source I can remember is "Matt's game" on the BBC website, in which Matt wears a badge on which the company name "Parkman Security" appears, but I don't think it's canonical. Has anybody got a better source on whether or not Matt was self-employed as a bodyguard?

  • I don't think there's any confirmation either way. But the fact that he gets paid more for having a carry permit makes it seem like he's working for an existing security company.--Hardvice (talk) 16:00, 1 November 2007 (EDT)
