Character History
Graphic Novel:Golden Handshake, Part 1
While in a harbor of Côte d'Azur, France, Haram negotiates from the docks with Rollo Fusor on a yacht for the release of two passengers--Monsieur Pizet and "his lovely lady friend".
When Rollo Fusor appears to have left the two handcuffed to each other, Haram approaches them. Monsieur Pizet is lying on the ground and the lady has a scarf tied to cover her mouth. When Haram removes her blonde wig along with her scarf, showing her true black hair, she reveals that she is Rollo Fusor's accomplice. She swaps her cuffs off herself and onto Haram, linking him to a dead Monsieur Pizet and pushes them both into the sea.
Graphic Novel:Golden Handshake, Part 2
In Paris, France, Claude and Haram spot Fusor and his accomplice in a hotel room with their next victim. When the two men storm the room, they find both the victim and Fusor dehydrated and no trace of the woman. Claude and Haram conclude that it was Fusor's accomplice all along who was the one who could "suck the life" out of her victims.
Graphic Novel:Golden Handshake, Part 3
As Fusor's accomplice attempts to escape via the roof, she encounters a Paris utility worker whom she dehydrates and pushes off the roof. As Haram and Claude are about to reach her, she dodges Haram's bullets and escapes by jumping from roof to roof, going down a ladder and running into a Paris park.
She hides behind a tree and appears to lose them, when Haram finds her fresh tracks in the grass. She responds by tipping over a park tree, knocking Haram over and pinning Claude's legs to the ground. Then, the lady approaches and grabs Haram by the throat, telling him that she hates running and that it makes her thirsty.
Graphic Novel:Golden Handshake, Part 4
In a Paris park, Fusor's accomplice begins to dehydrate Haram, and admits that Fusor was always just a distraction. However, the woman's attempted murder is interrupted by Claude, and Haram grabs the opportunity to kill the woman by her own hand.
Evolved Human Abilities
Rollo Fusor's accomplice has the power of dehydration. Haram describes the power as being able to "[suck] the life out of [her] victims" (Golden Handshake, Part 1). Originally, the Company believed that Rollo Fusor had the ability, but they later learned that his female accomplice has this power (Golden Handshake, Part 2).
Notes
- Though she is never called Fusor in any graphic novel, the introduction to Golden Handshake, Part 4 (and possibly to Golden Handshake, Part 3) calls the woman "Fusor". However, in the text of those very novels, Fusor is referred to only as the man with whom the woman used to work.
- In Golden Handshake, Part 3 and Golden Handshake, Part 4, she is referred to as the "water vampire" and "water vamp" respectively.
- In Golden Handshake, Part 4, Claude calls her a "witch".
Trivia
- In an interview, Steven T. Seagle revealed that the woman's name is Anya, but that they decided not to name her in the dialogue.
