On the 2nd of October heroes wiki conduced a interview with Rick Scarry, who played a Los Angeles bartender. This interview was conducted by skywalkerrbf.

Did you watch Heroes before you took the part? Do you still watch it now?

The show was not yet on the air when the episode (One Giant Leap) was shot. It was the first episode filmed after the pilot. The bar scene was used in flashbacks for three other episodes. I still watch from time to time depending on my schedule.

If so do you have a favourite character or episode?

I enjoy the character of Hiro very much.

Do you have any stories from the set?

The beer we were using was a horrible mixture of alcohol free beer and iced tea. It tasted awful and Greg had to choke some of it down in every take.

Did you have any lines which were cut from the final episode?

There were two or three lines that were lost in the final edit. That’s a pretty normal situation for most shows.

Did you enjoy working on Heroes? Was it different from any other jobs you have had?

It was an enjoyable job. I had worked with the director, Greg Beeman, on the Wonder Years several years ago. The shooting experience is pretty much the same on every show and I don’t recall anything unusual.

If you could have any power, then what would it be?

Tough one! Probably to become invisible so I can slink away….

What was it like having you mind read?

We had to take some unnatural pauses in dialog so the mind reading lines(thoughts) could be inserted later in post production.

What was it like working with Greg Grunberg?

Very nice guy….always a pleasure to work with.

Can you tell us a bit about any up and coming work you are doing?

I was very fortunate to appear all last season on the hit series Weeds as one of the crooked city councilmen although I was killed off in the season finale. I continue to be very busy and I have episodes of five TV series in the can for this coming year. Although I do not have air dates, I will be appearing at some point in  “Big Love” at HBO, “Dirty Sexy Money” on ABC, “Worst Week” on CBS, “The Starter Wife” on USA and  “The Secret Life of The American Teenager” on ABC Family.   The latest scheduling is always posted on my website: www.rickscarry.com .
