Interview talk:Joshua Rush
Upcoming Interview
I'm going to be interviewing Joshua Rush on Thursday, March 6 5. I'm going to send the questions to him on Wednesday, March 5 4. I won't say much else because spoiler are intertwined. :) Anyway, I don't expect many questions at this point since Josh has only appeared in a photograph. But I'll put out a reminder as we get closer to March. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:20, 18 February 2009 (EST)
- Okay, I'm sending Josh some of the question tonight so he and his mom can go over them tomorrow and get prepared. However, I will definitely be taking question submissions up until the interview time, which will be on Thursday, at 8 pm EST. So get your questions in tonight or tomorrow! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:39, 3 March 2009 (EST)
- Um, Thursday is March 5th and Wednesday is March 4th.--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:30, 3 March 2009 (EST)

Questions for Joshua Rush
- So you like being a little Zachary Quinto and do you enjoy all the cast's company?
- How did you get the role of playing Gabriel Gray?
- What was it like being TV's most powerful villain?
- Was it hard work portraying Sylar?
- How many episodes will you appear in?
- How did the Heroes staff and crew treat you?
- Have you always wanted to act?
- What got you interested in acting?
- Any on-screen romances we need to look out for?
- Any spoilers you can give away?
- Could you tell us what you think of this theory: "Sampson Gray has Intuitive aptitude, why else would he cut his wife's head with Telekinesis? So Gabriel has Empathic mimicry, and absorbed Inapt while seeing his mother killed by him?"
- Remember, Josh just turned 7. I'm probably going to keep the questions a little less complex. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:26, 3 March 2009 (EST)
- Could you tell us what you think of this theory: "Sampson Gray has Intuitive aptitude, why else would he cut his wife's head with Telekinesis? So Gabriel has Empathic mimicry, and absorbed Inapt while seeing his mother killed by him?"
- Have you met any of the other child actors that work on the show?
- How do you balance acting with school? Are you home-schooled?
- Are you and Zachary Quinto alike? How much time did you spend with him? (There's some behind the scenes photos showing you two together.)
- Why are your glasses so awesome?
- Is Zachary anything like Sylar?
- Was it freaky at all seeing a dead body(even though it was all acting)?
- Do you know if Meredith died in the explosion?
- I'm going to focus on questions about Josh, his scene, and his character. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:38, 3 March 2009 (EST)
- Did you watch Heroes prior to being cast as Gabriel?
- Did you have fun working on an adult geared show, at such a young age?
- How did it feel playing a person with super powers?
- Would you like to show up on the show more often?
- Do you think one day you might like to act or work in shows about people with special powers?
- Who's your favourite character and why?
- If you could have your own super ability, what would it be?
- Who is your favourite Heroes' actor/actress? Did you get to meet or work with them? What were they like?
- Hi, Joshua... What does it feel like to be the next big thing? I mean, with you being the young version of Sylar??? It is really a pleasure... Now, tell us what you feel!!!
- Will you still continue acting even after Heroes?
- In the Philippines, a commercial ad featured a look-alike of Hiro Nakamura saying "I want to see the future!" - this just proves the popularity of Heroes even in other countries wherein they don't air. Do you think that your role in Heroes will make a great contribution to the show and maybe, like Hiro, do you wanna see your future?
- Did you somewhat got scared about portraying a younger version of Sylar?
- Have you met or worked with any of the other Heroes cast?
- It is cliché to ask what power you would want… There are a lot of pointless ones such as Hair manipulation…What power would you not want? ---From Drwho113
- However, a seven year old would love any super power... hence, I'll throw out the "cliché" question: What power would you want to have?
- Who of all the cast did you get to meet?
- How do you feel knowing your performance on Heroes will be seen worldwide?
- Do you think you might be back on Heroes again someday?
- Did you have to audition for the Role? If so what was it like?
wait
IceGhost78 dont you think your putting pressure on the young guy i mean hes like what 7
- I'm a teacher, so I feel pretty confident in my ability to talk to kids. In fact, I taught 2nd grade for two years, which is the grade seven-year-olds are in. Plus, Josh's mom will be on the line. In fact, she's very excited about her son's first interview--it'll be good practice for him as he's growing up to be an actor. And, don't worry, I won't ask all the questions above. Some (most) of them are very good...but I won't be grilling him on theories and minutiae from Heroes. It'll mostly be a relaxed conversation about his time on set and the work he did. No pressure. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:38, 4 March 2009 (EST)
- IceGhost78 oh ok cool
- I believe compared to working on Heroes, an interview should be a piece of cake. Honestly, children actors amaze me. Most adults can't act. (Adults in general. No one on Heroes, of course. Our cast is simply brilliant!) --Mohinder613 (my talk page) 16:18, 5 March 2009 (EST)
Can you do me a favour?
Can you just tell Joshua that he is super cool and a brilliant actor? Thanks --IronyUTC CH 16:10, 5 March 2009 (EST)
- Sho' thing. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:17, 5 March 2009 (EST)
Nice interview!
Ryan, you really got the kid to talk, great job! He seems so nice! Love the interview!--Alen (talk) 11:21, 14 March 2009 (EDT)
- Yes, I really enjoyed reading the interview! It's always nice to hear about the production of Heroes, but it's also great to learn more about the people we see on-screen. I think hearing a child's point of view of Heroes is a unique way to gain differing perspectives on the subject. It's great! --Mohinder613 (my talk page) 11:40, 14 March 2009 (EDT)
- Thanks, guys. Glad you enjoyed it. I should say, though, that Josh is a bit of a loquacious kid--just check out his slate reel! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:30, 14 March 2009 (EDT)
- Cool interview, Ryan. Just saw Joshua's slate... so he already has a gf or is that an acting piece? He does what I think is a Hiro impression at the end...--MiamiVolts (talk) 12:41, 14 March 2009 (EDT)
- I think that video was made in the summer of 2007. Just a kid being a kid... :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:53, 14 March 2009 (EDT)
- Interesting... --Mohinder613 (my talk page) 13:45, 14 March 2009 (EDT)

Ryan, I've got to agree, excellent interview, you do seem good at talking to kids, it was cool to see mini-Sylar's thoughts Super-Hiro
