Talk:Chandra's files

This needs images of the non-Genesis files so it can be added to the portal. The current lead image is kind of bleh.--Hardvice (talk) 01:00, 2 March 2007 (EST)

• I uploaded a new version of the main pic, brightened and sharpened, and removed some excess page width so it didn't distort as bad in the resize. As far as the non-Genesis files....most of the images in the gallery of file folders aren't Genesis files...I think only two of the 9 pics on the page are Genesis-Files...so I'm not sure what else I need to do. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 03/2/2007 12:14 (EST)

  • Actually, all of them are the Genesis files except 1)Sanjog's file, 2) the lead image, 3)the Brian Davis folder, and 4)possibly the Mozaic folder. Here's the breakdown of what happens with what files, chronologically:
    1. Chandra leaves for New York, leaving behind the Genesis Files in his apartment in Chennai.
    2. Chandra has other files on people from the list with him in New York. Sylar scatters them. Their status is unknown, because Chandra's apartment was ransacked after he was murdered. (Six Months Ago)
    3. Mohinder finds the Genesis Files in his father's apartment in Chennai and brings them with him to New York. (Genesis)
    4. Mohinder visits his father's office in Chennai. He brings a cardboard box full of research from New York, including the journal and the Genesis Files, which he thumbs through. We can tell they're the Genesis Files because 1)they're in the box he brought with him, not already in the office and 2)many of the folders are the same. (Seven Minutes to Midnight)
    5. Mohinder finds Sanjog's file in the locked desk drawer, not in the Genesis files. (Seven Minutes to Midnight)
    6. Mohinder shows Nathan the Mozaic file. This could be from the Genesis Files, or from Chandra's New York files (if Mohinder found them--they didn't show him finding any files in the New York apartment, but it's possible), or it could be something new Mohinder put together himself. I'm not sure about the Note. The "distinction" is that the Genesis Files were found in a file box labeled "Genesis", and the files Chandra had in New York weren't. Keeping them distinct isn't about asserting that there's a qualitative difference -- it's because they're two separate objects, found in two separate locations.--Hardvice (talk) 18:28, 3 March 2007 (EST)

• And actually, I think we'd be better off if we removed the Genesis Files and Sanjog's file (which have their own articles anyway) and made this article be just about Chandra's files from 6MA. It would make things much clearer (like the status -- Mohinder has the Genesis Files and Sanjog's file, but may not have the files from 6MA).--Hardvice (talk) 18:31, 3 March 2007 (EST)
  • Okay, I cleared this up: each separate set of files or file (Chandra's files, the Genesis Files, Sanjog's file, and the Mozaic file) now has its own article, and they are all linked using See Also sections. This should make it clearer what was found where, what belongs to which set, and where each one currently is.--Hardvice (talk) 18:53, 3 March 2007 (EST)
