Compasses
There are, and will be everals compasses, we should start separating them on different page, or make a single page for all the compasses. Anyway, we at least must now create the page for the compass retreived by HRG and Peter which Edgar tried to stole. -- (talk) 14:05, 23 September 2009 (EDT)
- There's another one already seen held at the start of the episode by a man with a plaited beard. Here, so it might be that everyone in the carnival has a compass or at least the main people. -Yippee ki ya 10:22, 25 September 2009 (EDT)
Huh?
At the start of the episode, we see Samuel throw the compass into Joseph's grave, then suddenly Danko has it, and Samuel wants it back so he sends Edgar to take it off Peter? There are two ways to interpret this: either the opening scene took place a considerable time before the rest of the episode and Danko went and dug up the compass, or there are multiple compasses. Even if there are multiple compasses, why would Samuel and Edgar be so desperate for Danko's compass if Samuel had just discarded the other one into Joseph's grave? -- Tristan0709 talk 05:07, 24 September 2009 (EDT)
- Each compass might point to different things -Yippee ki ya 10:23, 25 September 2009 (EDT)
- Well actually there is a slight difference between the compass that samuel throws into joseph's grave namely that the compass isn't broken, the one whom HRG had is broken, so i think it's a different compass. -- Futurepeter ( U - T - C) 11:38, 27 September 2009 (EDT)
- Tonight in Strange Attractors, we either have a different compass, or Samuel giving Tracy the same compass that Edgar recovered despite the fact she might never give it back. So again, why were they so desperate to have it just to give it away? Alternately, if there are multiples, why was the one in the safe deposit box so important to recover? --CourtesyofTVRage.com 03:41, 27 October 2009 (EDT)
- As I see this, there are multiple compasses, and they all point to the carnival when held by those with abilities. Samuel wants them all so that he can control who knows where the carnival is, so that someone opposed to them cannot track them down (like the Company). He gave one to Tracy so that she could join them, for example. The appeal of such a device to Danko is obvious- even if he could not use it himself, Building 26 had numerous evolved human prisoners that he could use to point him in the correct direction. Even after Building 26 fell, Danko was still hunting evolved humans (Joseph, Tracy) before his death, so he may have locked it away and swallowed the key until he figured out how to use it himself, and then use it to go after the carnival. Samuel, knowing Danko had killed Joseph and was hostile to them, ordered Edgar to go after Danko's compass to prevent that from happening, leading to his death and Noah discovering the key. The rest we know. Swm 09:38, 15 November 2009 (EST)
Samuels compass
did anyone notice the tatoo compass spinning on his wrist? I was just wondering how it had to with his ability. -Tsmarg
