Talk:Eric Thompson, Jr.
- Is his name Blake? I thought Elle said that his name is not Blake but Thompson in the GN.--Rvsdl 09:47, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- Thompson is his last name. I call some people by their last names too; it's common practice. -- Seclusion talk / contribs 09:49, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah...but Elle specifically says his name's not really Blake.Fyre2387 19:21, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- I noticed that too. Here's an exact quote: "And I'll even let you in on a little secret. His name's not really Blake. It's Thompson. He and I grew up together in the Company." --Yamawhata? 20:41, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- Good point. In the EW article, this guy is described as "the son of HRG's former boss, Thompson, a young guy without powers who's currently being dubbed only as Thompson Jr.". Based on that and based on Elle's comment about his name not really being Blake, I totally support moving this to "Thompson Jr." and listing Blake as an alias. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:07, 15 April 2008 (EDT)

Junior
I'm not sure what there is to discuss, but Thompson's first name is Eric. There is no evidence that his name is "Eric Thompson, Jr." Junior could just as easily be a nickname as it could be a formal part of his name. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:54, 16 September 2008 (EDT)
- For most of the novels, he has been just "Thompson, Jr." I don't think the Jr. should disappear just cause we found out his first name.--MiamiVolts (talk) 06:56, 16 September 2008 (EDT)
- That's fine, we can talk about moving the article title back to "Thompson, Jr.", but we won't be moving it to "Eric Thompson, Jr." I moved it to "Eric Thompson" because it's a more formal name than "Thompson, Jr." Just like Linderman is more often called "Linderman" or "Mr. Linderman", it's not a very complete name, so we moved his article to "Daniel Linderman". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 07:04, 16 September 2008 (EDT)
- I can't really see us having it any other way but to have the article at Eric Thompson, with Thompson, Jr. as a redirect. Pierre 07:08, 16 September 2008 (EDT)
- I think "Eric Thompson" is fine for now, since we don't know the legal status of his name. However, I added it to the list of potential interview questions. If you can squeeze that one in, great, and we can add the Jr. if the writers confirm it or it ends up on the assignment tracker.--MiamiVolts (talk) 07:09, 16 September 2008 (EDT)

Rebellion Part 5 says that his name is Eric Thompson Jr.--Gibbeynator 06:59, 16 June 2009 (EDT)
Heroes iStory Appearance?
In the online iStory thing from Heroes Evolutions, there is someone impersonating an agent who says his name is Eric, but it turns out that that person wasn't actually an agent. Just a guess at this time, but I'm thinking it could be Thompson, Jr. (especially since he's able to pretend to be an agent reasonably convincingly). --V2Blast 21:39, 3 December 2008 (EST)
- I too thought of Eric Thompson, Jr., but we don't know yet that it's him for sure.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:30, 3 December 2008 (EST)
Rebellion Part 4
Does him being Micah's shooter means he appeared in part 4? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 18:32, 16 June 2009 (EDT)
- Nope. He wasn't explicitly seen in the novel, but his actions were. A bit like Rebel's texts in much of Volume 4. --Radicell 22:33, 16 June 2009 (EDT)
- Not necessarily, Rebel could be in the other side of the world and he'd still be able to text people, Thompson had to physically be there in order to shoot. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 11:11, 17 June 2009 (EDT)
- We didn't see Thompson in Part 4, we only saw what he produced: the gunshot. Similarly, we never saw Rebel in most of Season 3, but only the texts that he sent. --Radicell 11:34, 17 June 2009 (EDT)
- Rebel wasn't physically there to text people, but Thompson was physicall there to shoot Micah. See the bottom pages 2 to 6, we never see him entirely, put we see legs walking up stairs, a torso from behind over the riffle and hands setting up the riffle, taking aim and loading it. He appeared. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 13:32, 17 June 2009 (EDT)
- Cool, then. My mistake for forgetting about those panels and not realizing that they were Thompson's. I'll add him to Part 4 right now. --Radicell 23:01, 17 June 2009 (EDT)
