Japanese newspaper
I believe Hiro retrieving the Japanese newspaper is an example of teleporting. I've lived in very international-friendly areas of the country, and it's very difficult to get a current newspaper from other countries--I'd imagine that there's not too many people in Midland, Texas, selling Japanese newspapers. Sure, it's speculation, so it doesn't necessarily need to go on the page, but I just want to clarify that I doubt Hiro got that newspaper in any way other than actually teleporting to Japan. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:22, 27 December 2007 (EST)
- Even though I agree with you can we add off screen examples? Jason Garrick 23:28, 27 December 2007 (EST)
- Yeah, that makes sense. I'll add that back.--Ice Vision (talk) 23:51, 27 December 2007 (EST)
- I've been thinking. I think it's entirely possible that Hiro got the Japanese newspaper from a local store. In America, I've seen plenty of places where they sell newspapers in different languages. --Ice Vision (talk) 11:00, 28 December 2007 (EST)
- Certainly it's possible. But probable? In Midland Texas? And not an international newspaper which declares world headlines, but local sports results? I dunno... Again, I think it's fine to leave it off the page, I guess I'm just trying to clarify it here. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:04, 28 December 2007 (EST)
- Why not Midland? With a population of about 250k, the Midland-Odessa area is about the same size as Jersey City, NJ; Lincoln, NE; or Orlando, FL. It's not quite the sticks.--Hardvice (talk) 12:56, 28 December 2007 (EST)
- Oh, I didn't mean to offend any Texans. :) I lived near Harrisburg and have tried to find a local paper from England, but have been completely unsuccessful. I assumed it was the same for Midland. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:01, 28 December 2007 (EST)
- Fair enough. I guess I'll put that back. --Ice Vision (talk) 13:32, 28 December 2007 (EST)
