Owning the gun
I asked my buddies who are NOPD officers, and they said that you can own a pistol and use it on duty. If the department owned the sidearm, then he would have had it taken away during his suspension. So, more than likely, he owns that pistol. Plus, during Run!, he mentions to Janice that having a carrying permit adds to his pay. It'd be kinda dumb to have a carry permit without your own sidearm.--Bob 20:14, 22 April 2007 (EDT)
- If Matt gave his gun back to the LAPD, then how did he get it back? Heroe!(talk) 20:52, 22 April 2007 (EDT)
- See the note--he either has more than one gun, or it's an error. Of course we never see him give the captains the gun, so there's the outlandish possibility that Matt bitch-slapped the three knuckleheads, stood in the doorway, yelled "Sic semper tyrannis!", and flew away on Nathan's back. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:02, 22 April 2007 (EDT)
Same gun in Season Two?
Can someone check to see if it's the same one in FML? --Bob (talk) 02:07, 24 October 2007 (EDT)
New gun in A Clear and Present Danger
When Matt is visited unexpectedly at the apartment by Claire, he opens a drawer and removes a Glock pistol, which looks nothing like the gun he used before.
