Thanks for clarifying the part about "the big freeze" in other parts of Miami in 1989. I had a hard time reading the text towards the bottom. Must be my old man eyes. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:23, 11 November 2007 (EST)
- North and central florida is not a part of Miami. ;) Anyways, you're welcome, I got a laugh at that and had to check it out to be sure. Heh.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:28, 11 November 2007 (EST)
- Oops, typo. I meant "in other parts of Florida". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:39, 11 November 2007 (EST)
New snow
- Not sure if this is noteworthy, but Daytona Beach (central-east Florida) had a light dusting last night. No snow in Miami, though, but it got to 39 degrees F for Miami officially (35 F was forecasted). Brr... It's still very cold. :( Also, one tv newscaster said that the 1977 light snowfall was also recorded in Homestead (which is 20 miles farther south than Miami).--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:25, 3 January 2008 (EST)
Orlando
If it's the Miami Bugle, why does the location at the beginning of the article specify Orlando, which is over 200 miles away? --Stevehim 22:53, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
- Probably the same reason the New York Times doesn't always report news that's just in New York, or the New York Chronicle reports on stories in Syndey and Angola. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:07, 16 April 2009 (EDT)
- That's what I thought, but iot just seemed strange since the headline specified Miami. I guess Orlando is Central Florida though, so it does fit. --Stevehim 12:10, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
