Talk:Portal:Animals
Standaradized Headings
As a matter of standardizing, it seems that the animals that have appeared as a character (Mr. Muggles, Claude's pigeons, and Mohinder the lizard) say "History". Those that are references (dinosaur, cockroach, and manatee) say "About". Just wanted to make a note of it. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:57, 11 February 2007 (EST)
Archiving
I think for the purposes of archiving portals for Season One, smaller portals (like Portal:Animals, Portal:Future Characters, and Portal:Unaired Characters) don't need to be archived until we see the need, or until those portals are "full". -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 05:54, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
Tiger
- Since we don't have any evidence Franklin's cat is immortal, shouldn't Tiger be displayed as deceased?--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:37, 4 March 2008 (EST)
- We don't have any evidence he has died, either. Just as with human characters, we don't mark anybody dead unless they've been confirmed dead. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:13, 4 March 2008 (EST)
Novel vs Episode
- Is anoyne in favor of splitting up this section for novel animals and episode animals? -- Futurepeter 11:33, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- Eventually...after we have more than 3 animals from the graphic novels. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:59, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- Actually, there is four. Which is the limit used for creating GN character portals.... I'm for a split Pierre 14:04, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- Are you sure? I count only three: the Black Bear of Sakashita, Tiger and the deer. By the way, why do we note on their articles that they have no known ability? Is that even needed for animals?--Referos 14:15, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- You missed the Dragon of Kiso Mountain :) Pierre 14:19, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- The dragon is an episode, not novel character... as to the abilities: Maybe we keep that so if we ever see a cockroach shooting a flaming firebolt, then we'll be ready for adding it. ;) I don't think it's that big a deal to leave that possibility in there. Who knows, maybe Mohinder will wise up and give a chimp powers... they are the closest animals to humans in terms of DNA, and that would have been a much better idea than injecting himself...just imho.--MiamiVolts (talk) 14:23, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- Whoops. My bad. Although it is regarded an animal, it is an episodic character, not a GN character. Thus, we have only three animals, and the split should wait. Pierre 14:25, 5 October 2008 (EDT)

Future
Are future animals supposed to be here? Such as Mr. Muggles exposed future? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 19:04, 10 December 2008 (EST)
- At the moment, I'd say definitely yes. When have enough future animals to fill out a category of themselves (i.e. 4), we could discuss creating Portal:Future Animals or such, but right now Future Muggles should be included in Portal:Animals and Portal:Future Characters both. --Pierre 19:21, 10 December 2008 (EST)
