Claude's trip to The bridge
Claude was shot on the bridge, where HRG assumed he was dead from the shots and the fall.--Baldbobbo 00:56, 27 February 2007 (EST)
Argh, I missed that. Ah well, I saw most of the episode, I guess it's alright to learn a little more. --Riddler 00:56, 27 February 2007 (EST)
- Likewise, I didn't catch that Mr. Bennet may have intentionally shot Claude in spots where he know it would not kill him. It makes me feel a little more compassion, if Bennet intended Claude to get away. --Orne 08:06, 27 February 2007 (EST)
Location of bridge
The general location of the bridge is revealed on a road sign seen right before the SUV goes onto the bridge. It's tough to read but it looks like the bridge is supposed to be approx 40 miles away from Odessa. See this image and talk page --Frantik (Talk) 01:16, 27 February 2007 (EST)
- Good eyes Frantik.--Baldbobbo 01:51, 27 February 2007 (EST)
The Birdge or The bridge
Should Bridge be capitalized in the title? --Frantik (Talk) 01:23, 27 February 2007 (EST)
- Nope. I fixed it. (Admin 01:36, 27 February 2007 (EST))
The actual bridge filmed
- There seems to be conflicting information on exactly which bridge was used in the episode. Has anyone found an authoritative answer? So far I've seen:
- Bixby Creek Bridge (Company Man)
- Big Tujunga Narrows Bridge (The bridge)
- Cajon Pass (Wikipedia) (Admin 15:08, 28 February 2007 (EST))
- It doesn't appear to be Bixby Creek Bridge -- there's a lot of open space there and the mountain looks very different. Big Tujunga Narrows Bridge looks right (and it's 30 miles from LA, which would make sense for filming). As for Wikipedia's source, well, I don't trust a lot of what they say (see symbol appearances). I'd like to know their source on it -- the only good pics I can find are at the Cajon Pass Coastal Gateway, and it doesn't appear to be the same bridge at all. I don't even see an arch. I don't know what bridge it is, but if I had to speculate, I'd say it is closest to the Big Tujunga Narrows Bridge. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:44, 28 February 2007 (EST)
- I sent a message to the "Beaming Beeman" email asking this very question. I'll let you know if I get a response. --Orne 16:15, 28 February 2007 (EST)
- In the commentary they say its Big Tujunga Canyon. Other Photos.--Jebriggs98 16:34, 28 February 2007 (EST)
- Good enough for me. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:07, 28 February 2007 (EST)
- Excellent, thank you, Jebriggs98. (Admin 17:08, 28 February 2007 (EST))
- And to think I spent an hour or two looking all over Cucamonga Canyon last night on google maps.. doh. Anyways if you look on Google Earth at 34.283589,-118.197216 you'll see someone has even taken a picture of the bridge and placed a marker nearby, and you can see the shadow of the bridge on the landscape. --Frantik (Talk) 21:53, 28 February 2007 (EST)

- The Google maps link was updated to show a bridge that is clearly not the bridge shown in the show. The bridge in the show is ramrod straight, whereas the bridge in the new Google maps link meanders a little and also has a big outcropping on it. I cannot imagine that this is the correct bridge. If no one says anything, I'm changing it back. -- Wfaulk 09:21, 3 March 2007 (EST)
- You can clearly see the shadow of the bridge on the landscape to the north. Bridges in google maps look weird sometimes because the satellite images are overlaid onto elevation maps before being rendered.. the reason the bridge looks warped is because the graphic has been mapped over a valley. This is very noticeable in Google Earth since you can view it with the elevation information. Turn on the street maps (hybrid mode) and you'll see the road in actually straight where the bridge is. Someone has taken a picute of the bridge and marked the its location in google maps. You can also see the curve in the road where the SUV comes around to the west of the bridge... the old link didn't have that curve. :)--Frantik (Talk) 05:31, 4 March 2007 (EST)
The Haitian: driving or waiting
Without going back and watching the episode, my question is this: was the Haitian waiting at the bridge or did he drive with Mr. Bennet? I seem to recall Bennet saying something at the Odessa coffee shop about his driver. Was that the Haitian or somebody else? I guess it could've been Claire? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:46, 7 March 2007 (EST)
