Talk:White House
I started to add this place in the Portal:Non-Fictional_Places and I was about to also add it in the Portal:Law Enforcement Sites but I'm not sure wether or not it's a Law enforcement site, a politics etc and I'm too tired to search so... - Though the Executive Branch is involved in law making, I would say it's probably best not to put it into the law enforcement category. I think of Law Enforcement sites more as police stations and the like. The White House is a much better fit in politics, obviously. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:10, 27 April 2007 (EDT)
- Actually, on second thought, it doesn't really fit into any of the other places. I mean, I suppose it's a residence, but I don't think that's the best choice. - I do not agree with putting the White House in Law Enforcement. Law Enforcement and "enforcing laws" (as our 7th grade civics classes defines the executive branch) are two different things. It'd fit most likely as a residence (Prez and first family lives there) and politics. --Bob 04:06, 6 May 2007 (EDT)

Lead pic

- Depends. If there's an Oval Office article (and there are several redlinks to it), that should probably go there instead. West Wing?
There used to be the trivia here:
* The set used for the [[Oval Office]] of the White House is the same one used in the TV show ''The West Wing''.
which was removed for being "untrue", but I seem to remember reading from it from a reasonable source (though I don't remember what) that it was. my wife and I are both huge The West Wing fans and both noticed in Five Years Gone that the Oval Office looked "realistic" (unlike say in the show Commander in Chief) and she pointed out that the same artwork as in President Bartlet's office are on the walls, and I noticed the chairs looked like the were arranged the same. It seems they either used the same set or did a really good job creating a similar one. Anyone know the source that confirms or contradicts this crucial piece of trivia? - Greg Beeman said in his blog that it was the set of the West Wing. The episode commentators claimed it was the set from Dave because the set from the West Wing wasn't available. How should we put Nathan (exposed future) and Sylar (explosion future) posing as Nathan under notable residents? Should we actually put the text as Sylar? Intuitive Empath 15:07, 16 November 2008 (EST)
- We should distinguish by futures. I don't have any problem with printing the name as Sylar for the explosion future--I think we originally avoided that so we wouldn't spoil anything, but I forget now. I'll take care of it. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:13, 16 November 2008 (EST)
