Needed?

I think perhaps with the webisodes coming out mid-July, that starting this template now could be a good idea. (Will the webisodes be Season 2 or 3?) It is true that the spoiler characters need to be removed, but we do know at least some of the characters that will be returning.--MiamiVolts (talk) 13:31, 11 June 2008 (EDT)

• The webisodes should be considered their own entity, sort of like the graphic novels or the Heroes Evolutions content. Pages can be made for new characters etc., but the webisodes are not part of a season, just as the graphic novels are not really part of a season. If, say, Noah were to appear in a webisode, we could include that history in a section on his page (how that section would look is up for discussion), but if a new character appears, he should not go on a regular navbar (or portal) for episodic characters.

  Regarding this template, though, it's one thing to get prepared for a new season, but since the new season won't start for at least three months, this kind of preparation is quite premature. To me, it feels like somebody just wanted to list all the new characters that were coming out, which is definitely not the purpose of this page. But even still, we really don't know which characters will stay for awhile and which will be short-lived. I mean, to say that Officer Mckinzie will be a supporting character on the same level as Sandra is ludicrous! There's nothing that I know of that says that Jessica Collins is going to made a series regular. And even with the main cast, I think I saw something that said Elle will only be back for a few episodes, and then has another project. That doesn't sound like a main character to me. And who knows what capacity Nathan or Niki will have in the new season? All I'm saying is that even if we take the spoiler links off, it's way too early to have a navbar like this declaring that certain characters will fill certain roles. People check what we say here at Heroes Wiki and they report it on other sites. If we list Angela as a main character, people will quote us, and that's not a good place for us to be. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 13:46, 11 June 2008 (EDT)

  • Ah, if we're not going to label webisodes as being part of a "season", then I totally agree that we have plenty of time and we can just delete this article for now.
