Template talk:Interviews

Here's the problem with this template: the serial interviews, which are in sequence, are easy enough, but with the misc interviews, which are alphabetized, there's no way to tell how old an interview is. But if we put the date in the link, it's gonna get pretty huge pretty fast. Any other ideas? maybe we can do a "more" link (like the linkbar on the main page, or the guest cast on actornav) and an Interview page with dates and other details.--Hardvice (talk) 23:31, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- Well, it depends on why you want the date. If it's just to purge old interviews, a comment would be fine. If you want that info to be accessible (which I don't think is really necessary, but I do see the benefit), then a "more" link would work. So would putting them in chronological order instead of alphabetical, but that would take some finagling. Realize, though, that a "more" link would require double the maintenence, right? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:38, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- A more link would be a second page, but we'd probably only list misc interviews on that page, not this one ... so it's another page, but not any more work really. I guess it just depends. My thinking is that if people wanted to read an interview from a particular person, they'd check the actor's or crew member's page, but if they're on Links, they probably just want to read the latest interviews. Maybe we should just label it latest interviews and sort it chronologically.--Hardvice (talk) 23:42, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- That would make sense, kinda like template:news. We could just keep, oh, I don't know, the 10? 20? latest interviews, and purge as we add new ones. Binge and purge, binge and purge. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:53, 4 February 2007 (EST)
- Yes, it looks great now. And I don't think maintenance will be that big of a deal. Nice. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:21, 5 February 2007 (EST)
