Animated video

What is the animated video? --Iheartheroes 18:26, 7 September 2009 (EDT)

  • For each graphic novel, they've been making an animated video where they extract the image panes from the novel and display them in order, applying panning and zooming with background music.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:45, 7 September 2009 (EDT)
    • So on the checklist, how do we know if we can cross it off? and what does Update [http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/novels_library.shtml video links] <!-- links from ''[[A Lesson in Electricity]]'' to present are changed regularly --> that mean and how do we know if we can cross it off? --Iheartheroes 20:07, 7 September 2009 (EDT)

Still Confused

I still have a few more questions...

  • 1. Can you describe transcripts to me? And where I would find it on the article page to know if it can be crossed off or not? If its not there, how do I complete that task?
  • 2. Same with "Template:aotw or Template:Graphic Novel minibar"?

-Thanks! --Iheartheroes 16:45, 9 September 2009 (EDT)

  • 1) The GN transcripts are being done on a separate blog. I think Ryan can help you make an account there if you want to help out with them. After they are written, they need to be linked on the GN pages using the {{seealsotranscriptsgn}} template before crossing them out.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:12, 9 September 2009 (EDT)
  • 2) Both templates refer to adding the GN to the main page. Template:aotw is used during the off-season weeks, when we show the full summary for each GN on the main page. Template:Graphic Novel minibar is for during the season, when we only show the title, image, and writer/artist info on the main page. They should be x-ed off after making sure the main page is displaying the GN correctly.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:12, 9 September 2009 (EDT)

  • 1} So it just has to have a link to {{seealsotranscriptsgn}}? And then it can be x-ed off?
  • 2} So for ones already done, on all (ep, web, and gn) these can be crossed off? Is it that "Latest Heroes ..." thing? And it's just basically making sure its updated on the main page?

--Iheartheroes 17:30, 9 September 2009 (EDT)

  • 1) Not quite. You first have to make sure the transcript exists on the blog, and then add the template to the Heroes Wiki page.--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:14, 9 September 2009 (EDT)
  • 2) Yes, yes, and yes. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 18:14, 9 September 2009 (EDT)
  • 1> Well, I still don't understand but ok!

-thanks a whole bunch! --Iheartheroes 19:23, 9 September 2009 (EDT)

  • A transcript is a written record of the graphic novel. A few people from the wiki have been working on a great side project to write down everything in the graphic novels. We've been archiving those transcripts at a blog that's not officially part of Heroes Wiki. The blog's address is http://heroes-transcripts-graphicnovels.blogspot.com/. If the transcript exists on that blog, then a link from the graphic novel page to the blog page can be added using the seealsotranscriptsgn template. For instance, the last transcript that was added to the blog was Puppet with No Strings (see here), so if you go to Puppet with No Strings#See Also, you'll see a link to the transcript site. However, we wouldn't add a link to the transcript blog to the graphic novel page for, say, Ice Queen, Part 1, since the transcript hasn't been written yet. Now, if you're interested in transcribing some of the graphic novels, let me know, and I'll add you to the blog's account so you can log in and add transcripts. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:37, 9 September 2009 (EDT)
    • Ok! Well, I don't understand what you would put in the written record? And are all of the ones before Puppet With No Strings done? If so, I can't do the transcripts because I've only read the ones made into a novel, (the collection ones) because I don't like reading them online, plus my computer probably wont let me get to them. --Iheartheroes 17:59, 10 September 2009 (EDT)
      • Check out the blog to see what's in the written record (which records dialogue and actions that happen in the novels). Also check out the blog to see which graphic novels have been transcribed. (No, not all the novels before Puppet with No Strings are transcribed.) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:09, 10 September 2009 (EDT)
      • And btw, do you think they will make the The Rogue and The Last Shangri-La into a novel? Or not? --Iheartheroes 17:59, 10 September 2009 (EDT)
