Template talk:Relatedarticles

I don't know if every person who's listed here really needs Related Articles page. For instance, do we really need separate pages for Niki and Micah? And for D.L., for that matter? I'm also not sure about Simone, but whatever. I'd also like to see a few non-main characters get some Related Articles--Hana, specifically. Linderman, too. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:02, 4 April 2007 (EDT)

Redesign

  • What do you guys think? I kinda decided to, as WP would say, "be bold". I just thought it'd be a good idea, but I'd welcome critique or whatever. :D--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  04:31, 28 November 2007 (EST)
  • It looks ok, but without the bottom blue bar, it's not rounded properly in Firefox.--Hardvice (talk) 04:53, 28 November 2007 (EST)

Autocat

  • Should adding this template auto-add an article to the related articles category? It doesn't now and I don't really have an opinion either way.--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:33, 29 February 2008 (EST)
    • Ryan mentioned on Template:Miscellaneous Lists that he prefers the manual approach except for the characters pages since there are so many of them. This template is for both characters and items, though, so hopefully he'll clarify. ;)--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:07, 29 February 2008 (EST)
      • I don't like updating ten portals to make one change. Specifically, if I want to add a character to Portal:Minor1/Season One, I have to adjust that page, nine others like it, and Template:PortalCharNav/Season One. I guess that's eleven changes. I think automation is good for portals. I prefer having some control over the navbars. Just because this template lists characters does not mean it's the same as a character portal. I'm not sure what other clarification you need. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:12, 29 February 2008 (EST)
        • Thanks, that's all I needed to know. I figured as much, but wasn't sure.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:23, 29 February 2008 (EST)
