Scott would have had the same ability as Mohinder. None + Mohinder originally showed enhanced strength as well.

- Mohinder's ability isn't the only ability that the formula can grant people.
- Mohinder used an unstable formula, but Scott was injected with the real formula.

Scott already had an ability before he was injected. None + He didn't pass out like Mohinder or Ando. When Peter injected himself, neither did he. Maybe the formula affects evolved humans differently than non-powered ones.

- It could be that his system had a better reaction to the formula, Nathan got his ability because his parents thought that considering his lineage, his body could handle an ability. While not necessarily related to lineage, the same could apply to Scott.

Scott was not killed by Knox. None + Chad Faust is cast to play Scott in the next two episodes to be aired. It would be very difficult to play Scott if he were dead.
- It could be a flashback sequence, Kaito was killed in early season two and appeared quite some times after that.
+ Two episodes seems like a bit much to use on flashbacks for a character who didn't show up too much to begin with. Perhaps the writers saw his potential and reconsidered killing him.
- They'd have a real hard time explaining why he's back, unless he's playing another character.
- The scene in which Arthur's doctor appeared the most was a flashback sequence, he didn't say anything in his non-flashback appearances.
Dr. Livitz served an important role in the story as the tool that facilitated Arthur's recovery. His appearances in the flashbacks were essential to the story. Speaking in terms of storybuilding, Scott made little impact. To focus on him as the subject of flashbacks over the many other characters who died in the last two episodes is a tad suspect.
Echo, a character with a reasonable background, was to have a bigger role in Dual, so was Monica, a previous main character, and she didn't even appear, it's possible the same will happen to Scott.

+ Who's to say the formula didn't give Scott the ability to just pop his neck back in place, or failing that, increased resistance to injury?

- It was quite clear that the formula gave him super strength, and only that.
+ Scott's ability was seen used once. One time is a poor way to gauge an ability. Many abilities, such as rapid cell regeneration and flight, have secondary effects. And we already know super strength can manifest secondary abilities as well, thanks to Scott's would-be murderer himself.
Not secondary effects, Knox's fear sensing is a part of his ability, it's not a secondary effect neither a byproduct.
+ If Knox's fear sensing were standard part and parcel of his ability, it would be a separate ability altogether, much as accelerated probability and super speed are two separate abilities, though they produce similar effects to the layman. Knox's super strength is just an aberration of the 'normal' super strength possessed by Niki. The same can be said of Michael Fitzgerald, who's tattoos glow for no discernable reason when he uses his super strength. Given that we already have two 'super strength aberrations' in Knox and Fitzgerald, it does not seem outside of the realm of possiblity that Scott's super strength may have had a secondary aspect as well.
Possible, but not necessarily a rule.
