Amazing Page

Ahah. This page is just amazing :) Love it! Don't erase it you fool ! --  (talk) 18:00, 12 November 2007 (EST)

  • Agreed. Thats why I unerased it lol. --Aenicus
    • I would at this point like to say that this page is epic win. Everyone involved deserves a good pat on the back for sheer brilliance. It's like Encyclopedia Dramatica without gay porn or rampant racism, which IMO can only be a good thing ;) Rock on, citizens. Alloflifedecays 12:06, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

Uselessness

The Theory page for Mr. Muggles is full of nonsense and irrelevant theories, is there really a need for them? --MrLore|talk|Contributions

  • Besides showing that we can have a sense of humor, they really are valid theories in that they haven't been proved or disproved. Silly, but possible. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:31, 26 November 2007 (EST)

I'm sorry for being a spoil sport but I agree with Mr Lore to a certain extent. By all means the wiki should show a humourous side but can't it be done in a more proper place? Perhaps a new page can be created for farcical theories so that they are seperate from the thesible ones. --Tesphen 18:13, 9 December 2007 (EST)

  • How do we separate the farcical ones from the feasible ones? I'm afraid that introducing such judgmental policing invites edit wars. Take the first theory on the page: "It is significant that Mr. Muggles licked Claire's blood after her run-in with the garbage disposal." Where one person might see this as a really silly theory (why in the world would it be significant, that's what dogs do!) others might see this as a valid theory (Claire's blood has shown that it has healing powers when injected into a person). Yes, I agree many of the theories here are ridiculous, but if they're valid, our policy has been to leave them alone. That said, I rarely even check the theory pages, so I don't care too much what happens with them. I just like that people have a place to theorize and speculate and to read what others say, even if it's silly. I also appreciate that we don't make judgments on these theories other than pointing out pros and cons. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:55, 9 December 2007 (EST)
    • But if I was to go onto Elle's theory page and submit that she was actually a purple kangaroo in disguise or added a theory to Angela's page that Angela likes watching pixies dance and has an army of them in a fishtank in Macau, I'd get blocked as a vandal. Some of the theories CLEARLY make no sense. I say that if a theory is illogical, irrational or lacks citation then it should be deleted or moved to a farcical page. What fun is a theory page when it's stacked full of crap. --Tesphen 08:46, 10 December 2007 (EST)

      • I personally think we should have a parody template, which clearly states that, yes, we're having a little joke, and that these aren't to be taken seriously. Then you remove problems like this. We could also make Heroes Wiki:Humor or something similar and write a policy about the use of it in articles/theory pages.--  Lost Soul   talk  contribs  08:57, 10 December 2007 (EST)
        • I agree. 09:10, 10 December 2007 (EST)
        • But if you devote this page to parody theories then where do you put the sensible Mr Muggles theories?
          • I think this page is getting awesomer each day. I really like to have this piece of joke around cause it's all so serious (which is why this site rulz btw) everywhere else, keeping this theories is a good thing ! And it makes me laugh :)--Tesphen 11:31, 10 December 2007 (EST)
          • However, I took this page, along with the theory page for waffles, seriously the first time I read them and I even posted something there with my opinion in it, pages like this need to be taken to a different place so that new members who may stumble upon them do not take them as actual fact, what kind of a world would it be if people thought that waffles were going to team up with a dog to destroy the world? Not one I would like to live in. Martinpetrelli94321 13:35, 17 June 2008 (EDT)
          • This page is such an eyesore. People come here for hard facts, not the useless titterings of a group of eight-year-olds. This page throws all validity of this site, and therefore the editors, out the proverbial window. I agree, a Humor page would be much more appropriate. If we allow somebody to post up theories that a small dog of almost no use to the plot (other than some funny moments) has been plotting to take over the world with waffles, then who knows what else people will take as a joke. Seriously, people: save it for the playground or the middle school dance. User:Mask-o 20:56, 22 August 2008 (CT)
            • People go to the theory pages for hard facts? That's news to me! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:34, 22 August 2008
              • Of course Mr. Muggles and waffles have negligible plot significance. That's why some users make up outlandish and silly "theories" for their theory pages, and not for Elle's or Angela's. Man, some folks need to relax.

(EDT)

  • If anyone is coming to Heroes Wiki for "hard facts," they are in some sort of denial of reality. While the vast majority of characters' pages should receive a level of restraint when it comes to farce, a measure of freedom should exist for the pages of characters who are dogs. An even greater degree of freedom should exist when discussing breakfast pastries of all sorts. (I don't think we should limit any sort of decision to waffles, because Heroes may want to focus on Pop-tarts or cheese danishes. Where would we be if we just said is was OK to be farcical about waffles and then we want to joke about toaster strudel?)--Mtundu 02:22, 22 December 2008 (EST)
    • Waffles are prevalent in the "Heroes" universe. Watch the episode "Our Father" on NBC.com w/ the commentary by Masi Oka and Brea Grant. They talk about waffles non-stop! Well, maybe not non-stop, but at least twice! ebrown2112 09:16, 22 December 2008 (EST)

HEY PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS IS ALL SPAM

YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ THE PAGE! GO LOOK AT A REAL THEORY PAGE IF YOU HATE THIS!

Peach Pie Theory

I don't understand this sentence: "Mr. Muggles' love for peach pie is encompassed by his love for waffles." Did you mean surpassed? Suppressed?

  • The definition of "encompass", according to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary:
    • 1 a: to form a circle about : enclose; b)obsolete : to go completely around
    • 2 a: envelop b: include, comprehend <a plan that encompasses a number of aims>
    • 3: bring about, accomplish <encompass a task>
  • Sorry about that definition thing on the actual theory page, I never thought of it as a discussion. :/ Psilaq Remake 16:00, 1 December 2008 (EST)
  • It's cool. :) Should the word be changed to "surpassed" or "suppressed"? (I know it's a "silly" theory and all...)
  • Ha! That's my theory! I'm a math guy, so I regularly use words like encompass and circumscribe! :P -- Punx 14:56, 5 December 2008 (EST)

Mr. Muggles is just a dog?

  • This ridiculous theory has been posited thrice. There should be a moratorium. ebrown2112 09:16, 22 December 2008 (EST)

Theories being erased - why?

  • Why the heck are people erasing the best theories on the page? Cut it out. ebrown2112 04:08, 21 February 2009 (EST)
Because the entire page is completely retarded.--anguard 00:27, 27 February 2009 (EST)
So? It's theories about MR. MUGGLES. The dog. Who is rarely in the actual show. And except for the ones about him being chuck norris or in cahoots with Waffles, all are feasible in Heroes. If people can live in the internet, than certainly a dog can have powers. Besides, a majority of people enjoy them. That'swhy they're FAN THEORIES.
Actually, even the one about him being in cahoots with Waffles is possible. Assuming that Waffles is a sentient entity. Which wouldn't surprise me.
