Soul Absorption is the ability to forcefully remove and absorb the soul or "life force" of another living being.

Limits

Emily was able to remove the souls of any living being by force of will. While doing so, the eyes and mouth of her victims shone white and, after the process was complete, the entire body became limp and dead. Emily had extreme control over this ability and was able to stip the soul from someone in a matter of seconds. (Escape). Using this ability, she was also able to return the souls that she took. Emily showed that she could also control people to a certain extent by "flinging their souls" around in their bodies, thus being able to move people with her mind. Emily was also able to stop the usage of another power. (Grace)

According to Emily, this power came with an uncontrollable hunger. The hunger could never be satisfied and gave Emily a craving for more souls. Any normal food she attempted to eat turned to ash in her mouth. Also, when Emily's alternate personality was in control, she had enough power to rip the soul from a person without physically touching them. (Fallen Angel)
