Agent Twiggy is an odd child and may well have a superpower, albeit not a very good one.
About
Sci-fi entered Caroline's life early, in the form of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but despite flirtation with Star Wars she felt the call of fantasy more strongly. Weaned on a steady diet of Tolkien, Discworld and Harry Potter, Caroline nonetheless returned to sci-fi in later life (ahaha, I say 'later life', but she's still in her mid-teens) when Doctor Who came back and Life on Mars started. At this point Lost was her main fantasy fix, but when that started to get a bit crap she began casting around for a new obsession.
Character History
Genesis
Caroline decides to look into this "Heroes" thing her favourite magazine is raving about, and watches the first couple of episodes on the Internet. She doesn't consider this pirating, as there's no force in heaven or hell that'll stop her from buying the DVDs anyway.
One Giant Leap
Caroline is mentioned by name, as the hospice nurse taking over care of Simone's father from Peter Petrelli. If she goes on in future years to become a hospice nurse, move to New York, and somehow manage to do all this in the past, this reference will become accordingly more awesome.
Six Months Ago
Capitalising on her growing fascination with the mysterious brain-stealing figure about whom little is known for sure, Caroline takes one look at Gabriel Gray and falls in lust with him.
Fallout
...and with his scruffy alter-ego. Hot damn.
Known Powers
- Vertebral audition. If something mobile touches her spine, the movement translates into a high keening or buzzing sound. This is possibly the most useless power ever.
- Electrical audition. If an electrical appliance is switched on, whether fully or on standby, it emits a high-pitched hum which Caroline can sense at the very corner of her hearing. Then again, sometimes she can't. This hum alters in pitch for every change that the appliance undergoes: for example, a TV flicking through channels.
- Punctuational hypersensitivity. Don't go near her unless you've proofread and proofread again. SHE WILL CUT YOU. This ability has been compared to intuitive aptitude, in that her attention is quickly drawn to any punctuational mistakes within a mile's radius, and if she cannot fix them she has to go and bang her head against something.
The severe effect of this ability is lessened by prolonged exposure to The Internet. In accordance with the Law of Irony, this page will have at least three errors in it to be laughed at.
