Nice
Didn't realize it was so seamless. I know it's a pain for a lot of my friends who host on their own servers. Pretty cool.--Bob 02:44, 9 August 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah, thanks for sharing such great information--this was a good read. Incidentally, I have personally found that having Heroes Wiki hosted at its own server has made a world of difference. Navigating and editing sites like Lostpedia or Memory Alpha is not difficult, but it is just that much easier at Heroes Wiki. The constantly updated features are very nice--I don't ever feel the difference of the majority of them, but those that do affect me make a huge difference. Plus, it's really nice to have a very short web address--without all that wiki backslash garbage. And by the way, the migration was quite easy on users. With the exception of the wanted pages being thrown off for a little bit, I don't remember any "real" problems. Well done, and thanks for the musings. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:47, 9 August 2007 (EDT)
- The issue with the Wanted Pages... I don't recall that being a problem during the migration, but it does pop up when I do a mass move of articles from a psuedonamespace to a real namespace. I've gotten that process down now, though, so it's not an issue anymore. I just need to force a rebuild of the link tables after the articles are moved. (Admin 23:32, 9 August 2007 (EDT))

Any other issues with DPL other than not being able to search pages a person has edited? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:22, 8 April 2015 (EDT)
