Template:Infobox cast

The colors you chose for the cast infobox are fine. You switched the spoiler color, too, though, so Ellen Greene, for instance, was showing up as a regular cast member. I tried to switch it, but changed the wrong spoiler section and didn't have time to fix it before I had to go out.... I just wanted to give a quick explanation.     • To be honest, I'm hesitant to publicize a web address of HTML color codes because I don't want the colors to be changed willy nilly. But if you want it for future reference, that's cool. There are tons of sites that list color codes. Personally I prefer this one. The list doesn't seem to be in any particular order, but I like the selection of colors they have. Another one I use sometimes is this one--it's a very organized list, but I find it more confusing because it's difficult for me to tell the difference among the colors when two neighbors are so similar. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:02, 7 May 2007 (EDT)

Portal: Non-fictional places

  • What's the problem with the way Port Washington Harbor is displaying on your screen? In any case, we can't just cram "Port" and "Washington" into one big camel-cased word--that's not its name. Edit conflicts

Hey, Heroe. When I was updating Portal:Minor Characters--especially when I was working on template:PortalCharNav--I kept getting a lot of edit conflicts because you were updating it at the same time as I was. Updating those portals is a bit of a high-wire act for me, and having edit conflicts can be kind of frustrating. I appreciate your help in updating them, of course, and I know you always have good intentions. However, if you see me working on them, I'd appreciate it if you just waited a little bit to edit them. Image Cats

Hey, thanks for helping tag a bunch of these images. Think you can start from the beginning? I've moved backwards to Run! Also, I don't think pictures of people's hands constitutes an image of them. signature

You've got the first few steps down with your sig and autosig. Now, go into your preferences and put {{subst:User:Heroe/autosig}}. Make sure the "Raw signatures" box is checked. Then, just type your four tildes (~~~~) and your date should appear. Three tildes is just your name. Five tildes is just the date. Four is both your name and the date.     • Great, looks like you got it. Just beware that when using an autosig page, you're a bit more prone to vandalism. For instance, some wiseacre could vandalize your page, which would change all instances of you using your autosig. MQ

The reason I didn't include the heading in template:MQ is because it would throw off the edit buttons. We have the same problem with template:theories and template:spoiler, which is why they're required to be at the very end of the page, so it doesn't hurt any edit buttons.     • No, it's not that you don't know what you're doing--we did the same thing for the longest time. All the examples I gave above caused a big problem and it took us a while to figure out. Each has their unique solution, including heading placement, subst:, and span/div codes. I figured the easiest solution for MQ was simply to not include any headings in the code. It's a pretty simple template, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. But don't think that you don't know what you're doing. See Also and Disambigs

If an ambiguous name does not already direct to a specific article, there's no reason to put a See Also on that page. For instance, Louis redirects to Louis (disambig), not to Louis Iacoviello, so there's no reason to put a See Also on his page. On the other hand, Tom already redirects to Tom McHenry, so it's a good idea to put a See Also at the bottom of his page to Thomas (disambig) (or to Tom (disambig), which redirects appropriately). removed the red links from the screen caps screen

Wait....they were red-linked on purpose. Really. With the disdain for red-links, I had hoped by using them, it would help remind whoever posted those requests, to update the page, and clear them out with the actual 'desired location'....otherwise, I am afraid it will just sit there blank... At this point, if I spent the time to find those sources, since there is no link to where they are to go, why even spend the time researching to find them? I suppose I could go back through the history tab, and determine who originally posted those entries, and then send them a message asking them to update them. Removal of 2 new evolved humans

OK. I just saw where you reverted my addition to the Evolved Humans list. The source material didn't come from the questionably AE wiki, which anyone can update, but from the new Mailbag page, which isn't editable. I tried to find the canon list and its heirarchy, but couldn't find it. From what I remember of it, Episodes are Canon. The next tier is GNs and then 360 sources. Was there ever a decision made on the Evolved Humans list to only be primary canon sourced? If so, then we should remove 40% of the names from it, because alot of the people sited on it are not primary canon, but came from secondary sources like the Map, the GNs, the Journal, and the new Mailbag. I thought the intent of the list was to document in one central location, all of the likely evolved humans that are involved in the show.

Should the evolved list be busted out into confirmed and suspected, and move all of the non-primary canon citations down to the lower 'suspected evolved humans list' and change it so it isn't specific to the Journal? The two newly mentioned evolved people from Mohinders Ae Mailbag should be documented and listed on the evolved humans page. Perhaps it should be split between confirmed(primary canon) and supsect(secondary canon) but we should have one page that lists them all together. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 06/26/2007 16:10 (EST)

    • Update: I just found and went to the Canon page. GNs and Heroes 360 are listed at the same tier as being 'Near Canon' which places the entry of the two new AE Mailbag people as on the same level of canonicity as Hana (used to be most of the season), David, Austin (originally), Au Co, the Walls agents, Becky, and any others that aren't coming to mind. Nothing on the Evolved Humans page tells direction as to which level of Canonicity must be conformed to for inclusion. We should clarify this in a way, so that page can remain a 'list-all' source of documentation for all confirmed and suspect evolved humans. No other Heroes resource tool has as a complete list as we have in that one page. We shouldn't exclude from it, but work it out so we can include any that the Heroes-Engine sends our way.       • Our general practice with Heroes 360-only information is to confine it to a separate section labeled "Heroes 360" (as on Isaac's paintings, Prophecy, The Map (until the interactive map was split off) or several other pages.)         • Thanks. Sounds consistent to me. My only concern is omission, verses deletion. I think it is important for the E.H. List to be a resource of documentation of all the evolved humans that are mentioned in the Heroes World.
