Hope drives Ando to Primm, where he discovers her stolen casino chips. Steve Gustavson drives Hiro to Primm to find Hope. Steve and Hope have a shootout in which Ando is shot and Hiro nearly misses being killed. Hiro and Ando part ways in Primm--Ando taking the rental car to Los Angeles, and Hiro boarding a bus to Las Vegas.
