Why is this up?
This airs in a week, why is this up already?--Bob (talk) 16:39, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
- The redlink was there, and I had a comment to add. I have since moved the comment to spoiler section, but I don't see any reason not to have this already made so we can get an early jump on things and, if people want to, perhaps spend more time on the Bionic Wiki after they finish here.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:48, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
- Though it doesn't hurt to have this page here, I think we should try to avoid setting up the talk pages too much before the episode airs (the day of is generally a good time). Especially now that we have the navbar at the top of each talk page, I would hate for somebody to click through, get to the last talk page, and begin working on it instead of the current one. There's nothing wrong with having a red link, but if it's really bothersome, it can be commented out. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:07, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
- Commenting out checklist to avoid confusion.--Bob (talk) 17:30, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
- Changed the nextprevioustemplate to not display those redlinks in the future.--Bob (talk) 02:18, 26 October 2007 (EDT)
- I made it so if "Next" is entered, it displays a link to add the next checklist but doesn't create a red link. Hope you don't mind.--Hardvice (talk) 18:51, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- That's a very smart solution. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:46, 29 October 2007 (EDT)

Synopsis
- My internet is lagging big time, so I won't be able to do the synopsis. Any takers? Hopefully it'll speed up later tonight so I can help.--Bob (talk) 18:29, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- Mind if I take this one on? You guys can always revamp it.--Riddler 20:43, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- Speaking of divvying up responsibilities, I'll go ahead and do the appearances. Anybody else who wants to double check, that's fine with me. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:47, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
I missed pretty much every Hiro section.
My brother kept changing the goddamned channel to watch "I Love New York", the most god-awful show ever. =[--Riddler 22:07, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- Your brother is evil to highest degree. SPOILER ALERT!!!!! Anyhow, Hiro's storyline had him trying to convince Yaeko where her father would be found but she doesn't seem to trust him, asking him why he's staying with them. Kensei shows up talking in his usual heroic bluster and says the same thing Hiro did, but Hiro covers it up by saying Yaeko suggested it, bringing the two closer together. Kensei leads them into the camp and lets a guard stab him, promptly knocking him out after shocking the guard. They find Yaeko's father (New character!) who tells them White Beard's got thousands of muskets and is planning to overthrow the Emperor (the musket plot reminds me of Nobunaga Oda). Kensei and Hiro vow to destroy the guns and free the swordsmith. Unfortunately dawn has broken and a musketeer fires a shot at Hiro and Yaeko, mainly at the latter, while they're running. Hiro teleports them way away from battle. Hiro denies his powers but Yaeko puts it together and even realizes Hiro was pretending to be Kensei at the battle of Seven Swords. Yaeko asks Hiro if he loves her and he admits it. Right before they kiss Hiro stops time, worried about ruining time, but gives in and they kiss. The scrolls end there but Kensei witnessed the kiss. Later on Hiro finds Kensei who argues with him about the kiss. Hiro admits he accidentally fell in love with Yaeko but agrees to stand aside. Kensei says he'll destroy the muskets but then instead knocks Hiro out, a band of White Beard's men and most likely White Beard himself (though he wasn't wearing the trademark mask) appearing with Yaeko and the swordsmith captured. The group's leader, who is probably White Beard, promises Kensei whatever he wants. Hopefully with that we can get the Hiro plot written up somewhat decently. --PeterDawson 01:59, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
Lead image.
I suggest Mohinder initially turning down Bob's plan on injecting Monica - They've reached "The Line" in what they can morally do. OR Sylar, Maya, and Alejandra passing "the line" (the border). =P--Riddler 22:38, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- If there's a good shot of Mohinder and Bob I agree that'd be a good choice. (Admin 22:40, 29 October 2007 (EDT))
- Bob and Mohinder are a good choice. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:19, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah, I figured they would do the borderline and the morally-gray line, but I wasn't expecting the crime-scene line of where Rick died in the Irish pub, and I think that would be the best shot for the title. My second pick is the shot of the fence of the US-Mexico border. Bob and Mohinder is a give-away/spoiler to the main story, and it's not as obvious.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:24, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- Not as spoilery only because we know Mohinder is working with Bob and the company as of a few episodes ago.--Riddler 23:27, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- On second thought, the border-line is probably the most important of the at-least four references, so my pick would be that one.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:37, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah, Mohinder and Bob aren't automaticaly associated with lines. The Rogue at the US border would probably be a better choice. Although I'm still thinking that there could be some better one out there yet. --Piemanmoo 01:23, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
- How did Noah and the Haitian get the lead image? We didn't even mention them.--Riddler 18:29, 30 October 2007 (EDT)

- What about the line that Kensei crossed this episode, by turning away from Hiro and Good, and siding with Whitebeard and Evil? I think that line will have the biggest effect on the rest of the season than the others mentioned. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 10/30/2007 18:43 (EST)
- HUGE spoiler.--Riddler 18:45, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
- It's already happened. It can't be a spoiler. Even to the few folks who haven't seen the episode yet, just showing a picture of Hiro and Kensei isn't spoiling anything. Don't see the hugeness in that. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 10/30/2007 18:49 (EST)
- If someone sees a movie, and comes back and tells everyone who hasn't seen it yet the ending, they're giving spoilers. Same applies to TV. Showing Kensei with Whitebeard (since in that scene Yaeko is bound) is very spoilery.--Riddler 18:52, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
- When choosing the lead image for an article we always avoid anything too spoilery. Same with the summary bullets. Since this will be on the main page we don't want to risk immediately spoiling the episode for someone who comes to the site but hasn't seen the latest episode. It's just to play it safe. Also the lead image doesn't have to match the title. It mostly should just be a scene that is fairly well associated with a particular episode, it's just sometimes there's a scene that embodies the title very well and it becomes an interesting scene to use. (Admin 18:56, 30 October 2007 (EDT))
- I quite like the lead image this week. It was a very memorable scene, doesn't give too much away, and I can easily associate Noah crossing "the line" of morality when he shoots Ivan point blank. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:32, 30 October 2007 (EDT)

Credits
- Roberto Sanchez = Costa Verde officer who talks to Debbie first
- Irina Maleeva = Katarina, Ivan's wife
- Elya Baskin = Ivan
- Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa = swordsmith
- Beau Dremann = Ray, the officer who comes to CVHS second
- Shane Woodson = border patrolman, credited as "cowboy boots" -- I don't know which one he is.
- By matching faces to his IMDb profile, he's the one shown dead in ultracloseup at the end of the scene. He also appears to be the one doing the yelling.
- Rachelle Jacoby = cheerleading hopeful #1
- Ilene Perez = cheerleading hopeful #2
- Nicole Clifford = cheerleading recruit
- I don't know which is which; are they the ones who try out with Claire, or the ones who get numbers written on their heads? In either case, this is about the only info on Rachielle Jacoby I could find, and I don't even know if it's the same person.
- Versatile Darryl Chan = Whitebeard's guard
- Kolya is Ivan's grandson; portrayer unknown
- Incidentally, the episode was dedicated to Tim Susco. He was a "key assistant location manager" for Heroes. He died 15 August 2007. IMDb. We should probably have an article about him. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:50, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- Memorial site for Tim is here. There's a memorial fund listed which goes to a brain aneurysm fund--perhaps we could send our next month's donation to it?--Hardvice (talk) 17:32, 1 November 2007 (EDT)
- Actually, I sent in two donations for October already. One $300 donation to the Give-Life Foundation and one $300 donation to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation. I sent the donation to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation the night the episode aired. (Admin 18:06, 1 November 2007 (EDT))

- Concerning the cheerleading girls, if any of the credited actors portray the girls who have the numbers Sharpied on their heads, we could probably identify them by the numbers given to them by Debbie. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:23, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
- Ouch. The numbers are their weights (137, 141), hence the "lay off the Chunky Monkey" comments.--Hardvice (talk) 06:10, 3 November 2007 (EDT)
- Oh, oh, oh...I didn't realize that's what they were. (Man, Debbie's a mean one!) Yeah, absolutely, let's not identify them the same way Debbie did. Oy! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:07, 5 November 2007 (EST)

Preview for next week
During the preview's I noticed that DL was still alive and talking to Niki.
Don't know if this is the right place for this but hopefully it will spark some discussion as to what happened. --Thehoodie 01:04, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
- He's scheduled to appear for Four Months Ago, so maybe it's a clip from then that they aired early.--Bob (talk) 02:00, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
- Unless you're talking about the Global TV promo that I haven't seen yet, DL was nowhere in the US version. D: --AvadaNella 02:25, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah it was the Global one. I would have thought they were the same but I guess not. --Thehoodie 08:37, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
- Canadian preview • U.S. preview -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:49, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
- Yep, I watched it. It's definitely a Maury nightmare, from what I could see. Niki would be one to be haunted by her late husband. =P --AvadaNella 19:29, 30 October 2007 (EDT)

The new paintings
- Can anyone post screenshots of the new paintings? A few of us at IMDb are hunting for them. :D--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:30, 30 October 2007 (EDT)

- Hey all; i got better screenshots of the paintings and i've added descriptions to each of them here; sorry for the hugeness of it all.

Evacuation of the city
What does the scene near the episode where we see a deserted Time Square tells us? Immediately I thought it was depicting a future where a mutated strain of the Shanti virus is causing an epidemic. But then I told myself, "Wait a minute, evacuating a city is the absolute last thing you'd do when a deadly virus is on the loose." A city don't infect you, people do. To stop a epidemic from spreading, you'd quarantine a population. Putting millions of potential carriers on the road is stupid. --Borowki 18:52, 30 October 2007 (EDT)
- Actually, the full TV Guide spoiler for next week's episode did reveal (supposedly) the cause of the evacuation. I try to avoid spoilers when possible, but this might be revealed on one of the spoiler pages already. (Admin 18:54, 30 October 2007 (EDT))
- I would like to see this. Could you refer me to it? --Thehoodie 08:51, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
- Here ya go. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:45, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
- Spoilers spoil the fun. I would rather just speculate about it. The evacuation must have something to do with Maya's power. --Borowki 09:41, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
- Well my first thought was also the virus. Because didn't Mohinder say that if the virus was genetically modified, it could affect the whole population, and not just evolved humans? And what has Bob done? He's genetically modified the virus. So that's my take. So far.-- Lost Soul talk contribs 13:09, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
- I would like to see this. Could you refer me to it? --Thehoodie 08:51, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
- If this is supposed to be on or near the evacuation date, why is there a big sign, advertising for the 2006 TV Land Awards? "Wednesday * March 22 * 9pm", the years 2000, 2006 and 2017 have that date, but not 2008 (March 22 2008, is a Saturday), and the TV Land Awards started in 2003. --Maldivia 17:28, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
- Wouldn't it be great if they were in 2017? I think it would be great. Such a twist. --DocM 17:30, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
- I wish there were a good explanation. My guess would be that it's because the production team filmed their canned footage of New York some time prior to March 2006. They used footage from a single trip to New York for Hiro's scenes in Times Square. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that this is the same footage. Incidentally, was it just me or did the green screen on the Times Square scene look terrible this time? The lighting on the actors didn't match at all, and they had a pretty bad "outline" around them. Ugh. I'm kind of surprised that some of the special effects aren't nearly as good this season, now that the show is popular, as they were last season. You'd think NBC would be throwing money at them.--Hardvice (talk) 18:32, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah the special effects all suck this season. It really annoys me. --Thehoodie 19:11, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
West Monroe???
Does anyone think there is a chance that West is Adam Monroe's son? West seemed to avoid the question about his parents when Claire asked, and it would continue the link of current heroes and their parents.
- I don't know about that but I think that he doesn't speak about them becuase he is actually with the company or some other organisation. For one, all his lines are horrible, every single word I dont like, and it's not because he's with Claire. In defence of the writers though I think it might be intentional because if he is revealed to be a baddy, the audience will be like "I always knew there was something about him". Also small stuff like knowing where Claire lives, at the end of Lizards. I don't know how he would get that information, unless he was told or he just stalked her home. --SomeoneImportant 21:17, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
- In an interview, Nick D'Agosto said that his character's name is West Rosen. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:44, 31 October 2007 (EDT)
