Episode photo

I think that Claire holding her father's urn on the beach would be a good choice for this episode. It was a great one. Very thrilling pace, imho.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:17, 26 November 2007 (EST)

  • Sounds good to me. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:01, 27 November 2007 (EST)
  • I took the liberty to change it. Here are some others: [1], [2]. Choose whichever you guys prefer. Arnor 00:14, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • I think it looks fine. Very plaintive. Don't forget to add the proper fair use statement, categories, and links when adding an image. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:22, 27 November 2007 (EST)
      • Looks like someone did that for me. I didn't know how to do it anyways, so thanks to whoever did it. PS: Sorry to barge in here, but I hope I got one thing off your to-do list, Ryan - check the Shanti Virus picture gallery. Arnor 00:25, 27 November 2007 (EST)
        • Thanks, the gallery looks good! ... I took care of the fair use statement and categories. Here's one way you can add that information:
Claire remembers her father.

For more info on fair use notices, see here. For more info on the screenshot fair use notice, see here. For more general info on images, see here. Hope that helps a bit! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:52, 27 November 2007 (EST)

  • I may be in the minority here but I think the best image would be Claire and Elle staring down at the beach. I mean thats the exact phrase "truth & consequences" spelled out right there. Claire has always sought out the truth about herself, her real family, and HRG's true life and conversrly has always had the truth kept from her or used against her. And Elle is the ultimate consequence of The Company and their limitless capabilities and intentions. I dunno, makes sense to me. --HandsOffMyPeter 18:43, 27 November 2007 (EST)

Young Kaito

So the younger version of Kaito was played by Eijiro Ozaki? Cool, though when I was watching I was thinking that it was Von Flores (Earth: Final Conflict).--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:27, 26 November 2007 (EST)

  • Well they obviously needed to choose a different actor (he was horrible as was the actress who played Young Victoria) - perhaps Masi Oka, since he does such a great George Takei. Random guy 01:49, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • I think there were times where he was forcing George's voice, but I think both did a good job. And having Masi play George would have been bad. I think they should have had George dub his voice over.--Bob (talk) 13:38, 27 November 2007 (EST)

Victoria Pratt

So no power news, but at least we know Victoria's last name is Pratt (not Platt). I really hope they invite the rl actress to guest star on the show.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:27, 26 November 2007 (EST)

  • Joanna Cassidy is a great actress, so they better give her more than one episode. Also, it's getting really old about all the talk they give about parents having abilities and not telling us what they are. =/ --AnotherNella 23:42, 26 November 2007 (EST)

March 19th?

I missed the part where they stated it was the 19th. Does anyone know when that occurred?--Tim Thomason 23:55, 26 November 2007 (EST)

Ampersand in title

Is this the case? If so, I'll move in a second.--Bob (talk) 00:50, 27 November 2007 (EST)

  • No, don't. The ampersand messes things up. We'll take care of it with redirects. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:53, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • It's the same problem with Fathers and Daughters, Gray and Sons, and Claire and the Cat. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:53, 27 November 2007 (EST)
      • I actually wonder if we can have the AdminBot take care of changing all instances of Episode:Truth and Consequences and Truth and Consequences to Truth & Consequences and Truth & Consequences? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:43, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • I did make a change earlier today that may have fixed the amperand issue. Is it still actually causing any problems for anyone? It should be browser independent since the browser doesn't care what the ampersand is for, it's up to the application (MediaWiki in this instance) to be able to handle it properly. Is it indeed handling it properly now? If so we should use the ampersand in the article names. (Admin 15:11, 27 November 2007 (EST))
      • Oh, yes, it is working just fine for me now. Should we go ahead and move the pages now, or do you want to see if anybody else is having a problem with the ampersands. By the way, anybody who wants to check to see if they're having a problem or not, click on any of these links: Truth & Consequences, Fathers & Daughters, Gray & Sons, or Claire & the Cat--if they take you to an article, you don't have a problem. If they take you somewhere else, you have a problem. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:55, 27 November 2007 (EST)
      • Oh hooray. I guess now we just have to move all the aforementioned articles and update nine million pages.--Hardvice (talk) 17:06, 27 November 2007 (EST)
        • Indeed, though I estimate only about 4.3 million links that need to be updated. Calling AdminBot! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:40, 28 November 2007 (EST)

Sylar

Did anyone else think that Sylar's little trick to help Maya control her ability was a tad too risky? He couldn't have known for sure that she'd control her ability at all, not to mention before it killed him. He saw what happened to Peter at the end of season one, and I'm very sure that Peter was doing his absolute best to control his ability. Sylar just doesn't seem like the type of guy that would willingly play russian roulette; he seemed pretty determined to kill Maya and take her ability when he talked to Alejandro by their car, in the desert. Arnor 00:57, 27 November 2007 (EST)

  • Sylar has always been a bit self-destructive and even a bit masochistic. Remember when he encouraged Mohinder to shoot him, and even pressed his forehead against the gun? No surprise, Sylar ain't playin' with a full deck. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:00, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • The man takes people's brains and does stuff with them. I really don't think him risking his life so he can test his new toy is unusual. I'm more freaked out about him and Maya making out outside the room where Alejandro lay dead. --PeterDawson 01:12, 27 November 2007 (EST)
      • Thing is, when he encouraged Mohinder to shoot him and pressed his forehead against the gun, he was 101% sure his power was back and that he could stop the bullet before it hit him. And I think everyone is freaked out about him and Maya making out, but I still don't think he made that decision lightly. I mean, there was a higher chance he'll die (Maya has never been able to show absolutely any control over her ability before) than live. He couldn't have died either way, because Adam as a bad guy simply isn't enough, imo. Too bad Alejandro is gone though, I liked how the actor almost always showed him as completely freaked out. Arnor 01:40, 27 November 2007 (EST)
        • Sylar's got a twisted mind. He probably thought it was a necessary risk. If she controlled her powers, then awesome, he can get rid of Alejandro and use her in his master plan to restore his abililties. If she killed him, then alright, what's the point of being around without the possibility of that satisfying power anyway? What has me awed is the hutzpa on Bob. He wandered in and carried on a dialogue with Sandra, a clearly distraught widow holding a gun on him. I'd say that was more gutsy if I didn't believe that he had twenty Primatech agents in hiding to take out the family (2 out of 3) and pump Bob full of Claire-blood if worse came to worse.--Tim Thomason 02:12, 27 November 2007 (EST)

Cook Lake

I'm having a hard time finding any real-world images of Cook Lake, VA. It's in Cameron Run Regional Park in Alexandria, VA, but finding an image is proving very difficult for me. Either there's not a lot online, or I'm blind to it. In either case, there's a really nice establishing shot at the beginning of the scene--Maya and Sylar are sitting in front of the lake, which is centered on screen. We can use that as the lead image for the article. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:58, 27 November 2007 (EST)

  • [3], taken from http://www.pinedaleonline.com/photogallery/forestservice/home.htm. Not quite sure if it qualifies under fair use and it's too late for me (8 AM) to read the whole fair use article. If you think it's okay, you have my blessing :) Arnor 01:34, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • That's Cook Lake in Wyoming. Thanks, though. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:43, 27 November 2007 (EST)
      • Sorry, didn't see that. I think I did find one, but it was watermarked and small. Arnor 01:44, 27 November 2007 (EST)
        • I'm from VA and had never heard of Cook Lake although the vegetation looks really accurate to me. A google maps search turned up this. I've got a little video clip commenting on this scene posted here. --Stoaks (talk) 21:00, 28 November 2007 (PST)

Strain 138

  • ...is redlinked here and on the Story Development (ugh). Does it really need its own article? It's still a strain of the Shanti virus--why not just use the existing article?--Hardvice (talk) 01:07, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • Agree entirely. Strain 138 should only be a section of the Shanti virus article. (Admin 01:10, 27 November 2007 (EST))
    • Yeah, it really doesn't need more than a footnote, unless they really start to dive in-depth about how the strain is different or something. --PeterDawson 01:23, 27 November 2007 (EST)
      • Really? I thought it was fairly important, since it's THE strain that has the power to wipe out all of mankind - Mohinder and Victoria both mention it, so I can only assume that other strains don't have the ability to kill everyone if so much as a drop is released. Arnor 01:28, 27 November 2007 (EST)
        • It definitely doesn't need its own article, but I do suspect it will wind up as its own section on Shanti virus (rather than simply a note). (Admin 01:30, 27 November 2007 (EST))
          • But it's still part of the Shanti virus. I'd rather have most or all of the information about teh virus on one page if possible. We can easily redirect Strain 138 to Shanti virus. If it becomes Something Important, then we can break the redirect and create a page for it, no biggie. I'll take care of the redirect now. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:31, 27 November 2007 (EST)
  • I still think it's fairly important. I'm just not 100% sure it deserves it's own page. But being the single thing that can wipe out over 5 billion of something in a year, I gather it's very powerful. Think Uluru, but in a vial. Arnor 01:36, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • I'm not saying it's not important, just that it doesn't need its own page. It's not a separate virus, just a strain of the Shanti virus. It seems like it would best fit on the page already, especially since it will only be mentioned in maybe one more episode. If it's back in Exodus, then I would reconsider... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:41, 27 November 2007 (EST)
      • If it is so important, I do think it deserves it's own page. We have seperate pages for Hiro and the Dinosaur and stuff like that, don't we?--Riddler 18:56, 28 November 2007 (EST)
        • I don't understand the comparison. Hiro and the Dinosaur has a very long history, complete with its own pictures, sketches, notes from Tim Sale, realization of the prophecy, etc. If we included all that content on Isaac's paintings, along with the history of every other painting, it'd be a very long page indeed....If Strain 138 ends up with its own divergent history, it should definitely have its own page. But until then, it doesn't need to be more than part of the history of Shanti virus, or at the very most it section on the page. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:19, 28 November 2007 (EST)
        • Specific articles aren't created based on importance, they're based on the amount of specific information for the given subject. There's not a lot of separate information for Strain 138 so it wouldn't make sense to have a dedicated article quite yet. Important topics often have a lot of info associated with them and therefore end up in their own articles, but it's not a necessity. Important topics do however deserve at least a redirect and we do have a redirect for Strain 138. (Admin 21:25, 28 November 2007 (EST))

My Name is Hiro Nakamura... You Killed My Father. Prepare to Die.

I don't care if that isn't how he said it exactly; that's how I heard it. <333 --AnotherNella 01:32, 27 November 2007 (EST)

Ten bucks says that Peter gives Hiro a simple one punch knockout.--Tim Thomason 01:41, 27 November 2007 (EST)
That's inconceivable! ;) (couldn't resist the joke) (Admin 01:45, 27 November 2007 (EST))
I take it you finally got to see TPB, then?--Hardvice (talk) 01:51, 27 November 2007 (EST)
I did. It was a cute movie with a number of funny quotes. One of my favorite moments is still Montoya saying, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." (Admin 01:59, 27 November 2007 (EST))
The Princess Bride, a good movie. =D--Ice Vision 20:57, 27 November 2007 (EST)
We're talking about Hiro. When hasn't he been hit more than once and remained conscious? The gamblers dropped him, Hope dropped him, Adam dropped him... --PeterDawson 01:47, 27 November 2007 (EST)
If one of the two die in the next episode, please let it be Peter. I do love both characters, but Hiro is my favorite.

HD Screencaps

...are gonna be a bit late this evening. My auto-transfer didn't go, and I've been away from the computer doing the transfer and didn't realize it. I might not get 'em until the morning, since it'll at least another hour and I'm kind of sleepy. Any special requests?--Hardvice (talk) 01:51, 27 November 2007 (EST)

Anyone else notice...

that shiny new iMac in Victoria's house? that wasn't released until 6 months after this episode is set. Hint at time travel or prop error? i'm thinking the latterEhsteve23 11:19, 27 November 2007 (EST)

  • Product placement no doubt, like what they did with the PS3 and the game Heavenly Sword last season. Micah was playing on a console that just come out like that month and acted like he'd had it for a while and he and Niki were playing a game that didn't come out until a couple of months back this year. I think Hiro travelled through time after being paid a few million my companies to do temporal product placements. --PeterDawson 11:29, 27 November 2007 (EST)
  • Also consider that this is set in its own universe, it doesn't necessarily have to be set like it has for us. And given that there are people with powers, i'm sure technology has gotten an extra boost because of people like Micah. Dman dustin

Peter Seeing Himself in the Future

Peter seemed to find himself in the future, watching himself and Caitlin being captured. Now, what power did he use to do this, is my question. Time travel is out, since Adam would of noticed him vanishing, so I'm wondering if it was in fact Enhanced Memory, Telepathy or whatever power he used to see Charles Dervaux in the past? --PeterDawson 19:32, 27 November 2007 (EST)

  • I believe that was one of Peter's dreams, which he's had since Genesis. It's never been said if it's a power or not, though some speculate that he mimicked it from Charles Deveaux. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:34, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • I would've thought it was his dream, but they used the teleportation sound effect. I dunno if that was a big clue to Charles's power because it couldn't've been teleportation-- the CDC guards ran right past white-shirt Peter and captured Caitlin and black-shirt Peter. --AnotherNella 21:35, 27 November 2007 (EST)
      • I've noticed they've been using that teleportation sound effect more and more frequently. It seems synonymous with the sound effect used for flight, and I'm hearing it pop up in scene changes, too. Who knows. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:38, 27 November 2007 (EST)
        • He came out with a flyer.--Riddler 22:03, 27 November 2007 (EST)
          • Yeah, he took a flyer... it would be hard for that to be "just a dream".--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:14, 27 November 2007 (EST)
            • It could have been like an instantaneous warp, like when Spongebob had enhanced speed- "Want to see me run to that rock and back? Want to see it again?"--Riddler 23:36, 27 November 2007 (EST)
              • That is the greatest comparison I've ever heard in my life. XD --AnotherNella 00:36, 28 November 2007 (EST)
          • Did he take a flier, or did he just have the flier with him still? Remember that, chronologically, this scene takes place moments after Out of Time, since Four Months Ago... was almost all flashback and Peter/Adam didn't appear in Cautionary Tales.--Hardvice (talk) 23:40, 27 November 2007 (EST)
            • He came from when he saw Caitlin on the line, no flyer in hand, nor a flyer in hand when he first zapped Adam.--Riddler 23:45, 27 November 2007 (EST)

Synopsis?

Anyone covering it? If not, I suppose I could get started on it. -- Lulu (talk)

  • I think we should forgo it this time...(kidding)...That'd be very nice of you, thank you. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:22, 27 November 2007 (EST)
    • Alrighty, then. I will get started then. -- Lulu (talk)
      • I'm not sure if you've ever done one before or not, but here's a word of advice just in case: be as detailed as possible. It's a lot easier to cut things out than to add things in, if you ask me. Good luck! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:24, 27 November 2007 (EST)
        • I have, but thanks for the advice. But I'm having a cruddy time with NBC's video, but I'll try to get as much done as I can. -- Lulu (talk)
          • I really wanted to do the synopsis, but every time I heard Niki or Maya speak, I couldn't stand to watch it again. >_> --AnotherNella 23:23, 27 November 2007 (EST)
  • I took out a big chunk, I'll get the rest tomorrow. -- Lulu (talk)
    • Thanks. I know it's a big job. Whatever you're able to get done is much appreciated. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:46, 28 November 2007 (EST)
      • No problem. I do what I can do. Glad to help. :] -- Lulu (talk)
  • Looks like it's been done, thanks Shoreline83! -- Lulu (talk)

Heroes Interactive

The Heroes Interactive is already up, but without the ampersand. Can someone move it properly? I'm not sure if I need to use & or just &. Anyone want to explain it?--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:15, 28 November 2007 (EST)

Noah's Treatment Room

Where is Noah's treatment room?--Shoreline83 16:14, 28 November 2007 (EST)

  • It appears to look like Primatech Paper in Texas, but if Mohinder is in NY, then it should be in the Company's hospital. --MiamiVolts (talk) 16:45, 28 November 2007 (EST)
    • It seems to me that we need to create an article for the treatment room but leave it at an unknown location.--Shoreline83 17:05, 28 November 2007 (EST)
      • Nice job on the article. This is speculation, but the photo you used appears to be in the Company's hospital based on the paint on the wall. The cells in Primatech TX didn't have that paint style. I'll add that info. as a note.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:31, 28 November 2007 (EST)
