From Mark

"You are welcome to send me follow ups, whether it's about Part 1 or Part 2. And hopefully ask me something where I can plug some of my other comics work;) Hope you like Part 2, it was fun to write, and as always, fun to answer your questions, they are always good ones." Cool. Let's collect some more questions below and I'll ask them sometime next week. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:28, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

  • One other quick comment--I'd rather wait until the interview is "finished" before we start promoting it. Let's wait until Mark's replies to next week's questions come back. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:39, 26 May 2008 (EDT)
    • Great work, Ryan! It's cool that he answered us quicker than planned. I already had let the word out at 9th Wonders that you were doing the interview. I'll wait before posting a link there, but since the interview is posted here now the word will probably be getting there soon.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:42, 26 May 2008 (EDT)
  • I'll be sending in the second part of the questions tonight (before Lost starts--yeah!) to Mark, so post any questions you have below. Note, I'm only sending the Faces-related questions. I think I'll send the others later in a separate email, but I don't think they really fit with this interview. We'll see how it all turns out... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:21, 29 May 2008 (EDT)
    • I got the second set of responses from Mark--great stuff, I can't wait to publish it! I'm on my way to a meeting, and then we'll see how my wife is doing, whether or not we're heading to the hospital again. But I figure I should get the responses up tonight or tomorrow...The good news is that my laptop was repaired and I just got it back from Sony yesterday. Yatta! ... Bad news is that Mark wasn't able to answer the follow-up Blackout questions. He said, "Sorry to disappoint, but I honestly don't know the answers to any of these questions." It was worth a shot...On another note, I think that with all the questions he answered about himself, the collaboration process, and stuff that didn't directly relate to Faces, I will probably move this interview to Interview:Mark Sable instead of Interview:Faces. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:29, 31 May 2008 (EDT)
      • One other quick note: Mark did write Connie's assignment tracker profile, so I asked him a follow-up question or two about it. (Connie's birthday should have been a tip-off for me that he wrote it!) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:31, 31 May 2008 (EDT)

Questions for Mark

Faces, Part 2 questions

  • Did you write Connie's assignment tracker profile?
  • Is the bartender at the Company watering hole supposed to be the same guy as the colleague that helps Thompson, Jr. match Penny's appearance to that of the teleporter's girlfriend? Does the bar have a name? (it appears to be obscured behind one of the captions)
  • In the part one demonstration of Penny's ability, is it Penny being shown touching her own face after her mother has touched her? The placement of the thumbs in the picture suggests that she may be doing so, but it would be good to have confirmation.
  • Is it intentional that Penny is shown leaving, claiming to be heading for the girlfriend's house, and then somehow ends up at the teleporter's home instead? Is that supposed to imply that the teleporter and girlfriend live together?

Followup Blackout questions

Several of us other Heroes Wiki users helped to supply some that went unasked/unanswered in the Blackout interview. They were posted to Jason's blog, but he hasn't answered them:

  • Is there a specific time when Blackout occurs? Is it days, weeks or months after Nov 8th, 2006?
  • Does the Primatech agent actually fire or just point his gun? The gun is blurry when he is pointing it. I can't tell if that's supposed to be it going off.
  • What brand of rental car was Mohinder using? And is Mohinder now stuck in the middle of nowhere or does the car have OnStar?
  • Lastly, inquiring minds want to know if the agent from Walls could be father, brother or close-cousin to this electricity-absorbing teenager?--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:42, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

Other questions

  • Miscellaneous question: Since this Company arc is a collaborative project, you wouldn't happen to know if Felicia's ability will be used again, and on something, would you?--SacValleyDweller (talk) 03:03, 26 May 2008 (EDT)
  • What other Heroes writers have you been working with? What is the collaboration process like?
  • <something about colorblindness>
  • <something about the teleporter's future>
  • A few more:
    • Word is out that you were sole writer for a superhero comic strip called Grounded, which came out in 2005 according to the website. How did that come about? Do you run the production company that produced it? Is there anywhere online where we can get copies of that or your other works?
    • Do you have any preferences for fantasy over contemporary writing, or vice versa? Can you name any other writers that have influenced you?
    • Do you have any preference for working in a television studio over being a graphic novel writer? When you working for Howard Stern or Charlie Rose, did you write anything that was used on television?--MiamiVolts (talk) 03:46, 26 May 2008 (EDT)
  • How did you get the job of writing Blackout? ... the job of being in on this project?--SacValleyDweller (talk) 14:45, 26 May 2008 (EDT)

Publicity

I've emailed most Heroes blogs and websites that I know. I didn't hit any of the message boards, though, including 9thwonders.com. If somebody would be so kind as to let 9thwonders (and any other message boards that y'all frequent) know about the interview, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:14, 1 June 2008 (EDT)

  • Sheindie already notified 9thwonders.com, and I just posted about it on IMDb.--MiamiVolts (talk) 17:43, 1 June 2008 (EDT)
