About

The Iraq War was a military campaign which began on March 20, 2003 with the invasion of Iraq by a multinational force led by troops from the United States and the United Kingdom. Prior to the war, the governments of the US and the UK claimed that Iraq's alleged possession of weapons of mass destruction posed a threat to their security and that of their coalition/regional allies. The US started withdrawing troops in late 2007 and finished in December 2011, marking the formal end of the war.

Graphic Novel:Stuck in the Middle

Notes

  • The Iraq War that started in 2003 should not be confused with the Gulf War fought in Iraq that began in 1990 or the Gulf War between Iran and Iraq that began in 1980.
  • Haram indicated he was a veteran of fighting in the Gulf, but he mentioned it in 1990--a long time before the Iraq War that started in 2003 (Golden Handshake, Part 2).
