Template talk:Sectstub
Do we need this? I would think the "needs" variable of the regular stub template takes care of marking a particular section--plus, it's easier to see than hidden in the middle of a section. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:26, 15 March 2007 (EDT)
clearing
Is anybody else having a problem with this template? Whenever it's used near the top of a page, it clears infoboxes, TOCs, and right-floated images. In other words, it makes a huge space, rather than being a flag where text should be. Anybody know a way to fix that? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:10, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
- I've seen it, but I'm not sure. I haven't seen any templates be able to do that to where they can fix around the infoboxes. Same with the wikitables.--Bob (talk) 22:13, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
- Oh. Before I upgraded my Firefox, the sectstub template used to work around infoboxes very nicely. But I upgraded and I suppose I lost that nice little feature. :( -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:38, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
- I think I got the same problem. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 00:53, 10 September 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, I recently upgraded my Firefox and began getting the same problem. Really makes those new GN character pages ugly, with a huge white space. Is there anyway to fix it? --Radicell 07:05, 11 February 2009 (EST)

Full Width / Not Full Width
When we make the width "100%", it seems to push out other navboxes/floated images. When we make it a set amount of pixels long, it only extends to about halfway of the page and stops (if someone with a large monitor, like me, is looking at it). I remember a time when this template could extend to as long as it need; filling up anybody's monitor but stopping if there is a navbox/floated image. What has happened? --Radicell 09:37, 25 August 2009 (EDT)
- I thought so too, but when I went back through the edit history, I never saw it do what I wanted it to do, which is to extend only as far as it "needs" to extend. My guess is that the table properties were changed somewhere along the way, or something in MediaWiki was changed, or something that's beyond my understanding. :) Personally, I prefer to have it only extend partway across the screen than trying to "clear" infoboxes...but I'm very open to other suggestions. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:59, 25 August 2009 (EDT)
