Matt's Trip = Object Displacement?
I got to thinking: We've heard of an ability called "object displacement." If I recall correctly, F-Peter.2 just kinda threw Matt into Africa. Might F-Peter.2's action be object displacement?
- It could be, but it appeared to me as if Peter simply teleported Matt to Africa, which would be an application of time-space manipulation. PS: Unknown poster, please add your signature.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:19, 24 September 2008 (EDT)
- My bad, I was in a rush to post that. XO --SacValleyDweller (talk) 00:01, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
- If its Space - Time Manipulation, then Future Peter would've been with Matt in Africa when he sent him, just like Hiro being with Ando everytime they teleport. But in here, Future Peter simply, touched Matt and he disappeared into thin air.NiveKJ13 14:09, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- How do you know that? none of us knows about it... And sorry, I didn't know it was deleted before...NiveKJ13 14:13, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- It's inherently obvious. Why would they need to give FP a new ability that allows him to teleport other people when he already has one that can do that? And we know FP is much more experienced then regular Peter or Hiro at his powers, so it's entirely plausible he has learned to do it. Not to mention, they played the STM sound effect when Matt was teleported. It is also quite possible that FP actually did teleport to Africa with Matt, but we never saw it because he stopped time and teleported back to the storeroom. It's just common sense. And my mistake, it wasn't deleted before... I thought it was, because the talk page already existed. But still, don't create ability pages unless it's for a distinct ability, and "object displacement" isn't distinct. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 14:29, 13 November 2008 (EST)

- Because he can just absorb it...The formula is all over the place in the "exposed future", he could mimic anything, everywhere. NiveKJ13 14:31, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- The powers that Peter absorbs or does not absorb is in the hands of the writers, not in the hands of some fictional formula. As previously stated, it would be completely pointless for the writers to have Peter absorb an ability that is already an aspect of an ability that he has, and that the viewers are completely familiar with. And again, the STM sound effect played when Matt was teleported. It was space-time manipulation. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 14:35, 13 November 2008 (EST)

- And how are you sure that teleportation actually lets him do this?, where did you see or read it?NiveKJ13 14:32, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- Yeah, there's absolutely no evidence at all that space-time manipulation lets users teleport other people. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 14:35, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- There is currently not enough evidence to support the existence of a separate ability. Without a truly compelling argument, I'll be deleting this page today. --Ted C 14:32, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- I think this ability exists (object displacement). When Peter placed Matt in Africa, he didn't move with him, he stayed in America so it wasn't space-time manipulation. --Alen76 20:49, 13 November 2008 (GMT)
None of us knows, so don't keep saying "Space-Time manipulation made Matt go to Africa" is a fact because its just one of your theories.
We have a different theory, you have a different theory, and none of us knows what the fact is.NiveKJ13 15:07, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- I don't think it's a new ability, i mean c'mon who says that space-time-manipulation can't send something by choice to the future or the past. It's clearly space-time-manipulation. But that's just my opinion. -- Futurepeter ( U - T - C ) 15:12, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- Well, who says that he can?, no one either. And the ability's not new, its in the Assignment Tracker, well its new on TV, but not on Heroes world.NiveKJ13 15:15, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- @ Thrashmeister - how'd you even know what the writer's intentions are? What if they actually showed this ability, aren't you open to those options?NiveKJ13 15:19, 13 November 2008 (EST)
AHEM! At this point, how Future Peter transported Matt to Africa is entirely speculative, no matter whether you think he used an established ability or a new one. I do not think that object displacement warrants an independent article... YET. NiveKJ13, I would recommend that you put this information in your own namespace for now: the time may come for it to be a regular power article, but I don't think that time has arrived yet. Let's try not to have a flame war over this, eh? --Ted C 15:46, 13 November 2008 (EST)
- I'm not making a flame war, its just an "argument" LOL. And by the way, I've already put it in my User space.
Let's just be sport about this, eh Thrash, no hard feelings....NiveKJ13 15:52, 13 November 2008 (EST) Dangit, this page has already been made! I should have thought it was before making it one of my fan-made abilities.
I think Future Peter just teleported Matt.--ERROR 19:06, 3 June 2009 (EDT)
