Cold Wars

Matt draws a mural of Washington being destroyed in a nuclear explosion similar to how New York City was in the explosion future.

Exposed

Peter and Matt walk in the streets of Washington discussing telepathy. They arrive at Building 26 and enter the building.

Later, Matt, strapped to bombs, is dumped by Danko in the middle of Washington D.C. in order to have him explode and show the world how people with abilities are supposedly terrorists.

Shades of Gray

Nathan arrives at the site of Matt's strapping to a bomb. They successfully disarm Matt using telepathy, but Nathan knocks Matt out to prevent him from escaping.

Cold Snap

Tracy walks along the streets of DC, when an ATM machine talks to her. She takes money from the machine and a slip directing her to Union Station. She calls a taxi, and after she leaves, Micah Sanders shows up and calls a taxi as well.

Danko's team bring down Peter with taser-fire as he flies over the Capitol. He ends in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

I Am Sylar

Danko meets with Sylar and informs him that traffic security cameras caught him walking around. Sylar reveals he has problems with controlling his shape shifting ability, but Danko responds that he'll have to hunt Sylar unless he becomes agent Taub again. Sylar does so, and as Danko leaves, he cuts "I AM SYLAR" on his arm, but the words disappear.

Later, Danko leads a group to a building where Rebel is hiding. They disable electrical supply, so he couldn't control any technology. As Danko's men go inside, Kent Harper notices that Sylar (in Taub's form) is missing. They soon find Micah running along the pier, and another Micah watches them corner Sylar in his form. Danko's men shoot the fake, and Micah escapes unnoticed.

After a while, Sylar in his own form approaches Danko on the pier. Danko asks him why he didn't take Rebel's ability, and Sylar says that talking to machines would be an overkill. Danko comments his team hasn't found Micah's body, but Sylar insists he is dead. Danko says they've found several evolved humans in Micah's database and suggests Sylar hunt the most dangerous of them... after he takes on Taub's face again.

Hiro and Ando arrive at Building 26. After they agree to work together, Hiro attempts to stop time, but fails and gets a nosebleed.

An Invisible Thread

Noah Bennet is driving through Arlington when he notices some construction cones. He concludes they're fake and that Danko has set a trap. He tells Claire and Angela to head off in another direction as he drives onward as a decoy. He triggers the trap and is taken to Building 26. Sylar arranges a meeting with the president at the Stanton Hotel. A battle takes place in one of the hotel rooms between Sylar, Nathan and Peter which results in the death of Nathan. Later, Sylar is subdued by Peter as he attempts to meet with the President. Sylar's body is taken back up to the hotel room and Nathan's memories are then forced into his head by Matt Parkman.

• Georgetown is a relatively affluent neighborhood located within DC, along the Potomac River.
• Arlington, VA is about a 10-minute drive from the heart of DC. It was once part of DC, but was retroceded to Virginia in 1847.

• Washington, DC is the only city in the United States that is not part of a state.
• The origins of Georgetown's name are unclear: George Beall and George Gordon founded the area as the "Town of George", and King George II was the king of England at the time.
• Arlington County is geographically the smallest county in the U.S.
