The Create Your Hero description for Santiago explicitly states that he has the power of accelerated probability. |
Accelerated probability?
Is this for the upcoming Destiny webisodes? If so then shouldn't the power be combined with super speed or something (which bugs me; the writers seem to be drifting further and further from the typical "One person, one power" with each new release). -- FlamingTomDude 23:53, 20 November 2008 (EDT)
- Totally agree. Probability should not mean also being able to run fast. - Rybo5000
One of the most powerful abilities?
Technically couldn't a possessor of this ability find the weakness of anything, solve the unsolveable, etc. He would be a valuable asset to the Company, in finding the successful formula or even the best way of targeting evolved humans?
As we know all abilities devlop, for example, Matt Parkman. Perhaps he can manipulate probability like Domino and Black Cat? If he was, let's say, in conflict with Sylar he could alter the probability of Sylar successfully attacking him with any of his abilities to an extraordinary high probability or if he fell out of a plane - he could alter the probability of him surving to 1(1 is the highest number as far as probability is concerned). --ACDC1989 09:06, 12 November 2008 (EST)
- The ability doesn't manipulate probability, just predicts it.
- I checked this ability up on www.activatingevolution.org and Santiago doesnt have Super Human Speed. He has Super Human Reflexes thats why he could avoid being hit by the truck and see how he can escape it. Typos 07:12, 17 November 2008 (EST)

- To be less crude (no offense, Intuitive Empath) ActivatingEvolution.org is a useless site where anyone can put whatever they like on it. A monkey could indeed put info on there, so I wouldn't trust it with anything. -- FlamingTomDude 1:32, 19 November 2008 (EST)

- If this is Kaito Nakamura's ability, this must be the way of how he created the formula...--NiveKJ13 13:47, 22 November 2008 (EST)
- Who says that Kaito created the formula? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:34, 22 November 2008 (EST)
- i dont know, I think Arthur mentioned it in It's Coming episode. Well, yeah, not him exactly, but maybe he helped a little or something lol, i dunno --NiveKJ13 17:54, 22 November 2008 (EST)

My Idea
Hey! I thought of this a while ago.
Mine was slightly different in that time freezes (not literally but for effect) then everything turns green and wireframed. The person then "scans" to find the best possible outcome.
And also coincidentally, my idea also made his ability good as a footballer.

"Accelerated probability is the ability to see what choice one should make when confronted with a situation, to predict the outcomes of certain situations, and then to accelerate oneself along that path of causality immediately."
is this accurate, people? If so, then Santiago can choose to a certain degree how he wants things to turn out. He can't alter probability, and can only do feats within his power, but this means he's still a pretty powerful guy. This ability would allow one to see the most beneficial future to Santiago (and presumably was beneficial to Kaito Nakamura when he was alive) but you couldn't directly learn knowledge or answers, it would only speed you along the path of probability that would best benefit you. It also seems to make use of lentation (in which time seems to have slowed down, when in fact the user has sped up, similar to Neo from the Matrix movies). Shadowulf1 17:46, 22 November 2008
- I guess he could dodge bullets with easy. Dave 18:20, 27 November 2008
