I uploaded a new image for this ability. It is better quality, and it juxtaposes Sylvia with the Deutsche Mark to show how small she is, rather than just showing her standing next to a wall. I'm not a big fan of split images, but I think it works in this case (at least until we hopefully get a new image in two weeks). I'm not tied to the image, but I do think it's a better choice than the one we had before. Feel free to discuss. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:09, 13 April 2010 (EDT)
- I think it works. It isn't painfully obvious that it's a split image and it provides a much clearer demonstration of the ability than the last one, which just showed a woman in spandex against a wall.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 22:23, 13 April 2010 (EDT)
- I've found another image that I think works better, the only issue is that it's the title image, and therefore has the credits on a brick wall and a speech bubble. So far I've managed to eliminate the speech bubble without any noticeable effects, but the font on the brick wall is giving me a hard time. Does anyone have enough skills to make it work?--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 21:47, 26 April 2010 (EDT)
- I'm usually pretty good with manipulating images, though Jason Badower often shares his art that has no text on it. However, I uploaded an image of Sylvia's hand holding the car, and I turned it a bit. I think it's a really good, somewhat symbolic image of how big she can become. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:36, 27 April 2010 (EDT)
Question about ability
How does this differ from Size alteration? It seems like the same ability with a different name.--Cro Magnon 11:38, 16 April 2010 (EDT)
- Maybe they are indeed the same ability, and the writers just did to humiliate us, or maybe there's more to Sylvia's ability than we've seen. Let's wait and see what FtFoP 6 holds.

- Perhaps she can change her mass without changing her size (becoming heavier or lighter). --Ricard Desi 14:34, 16 April 2010 (EDT)
- I'm not sure what is meant by the writers humiliating us. If Sylvia changes her mass, she would not weigh as much. Eric Lee Harrison was still "surprisingly heavy". But we really don't know very much about mass manipulation. We've seen it in use one time. Perhaps Sylvia can change the mass of other objects, too--not just herself? Perhaps she can change her mass without actually changing her size? Who knows... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:47, 16 April 2010 (EDT)
- Mass manipulation may allow her to alter the mass of other objects as well as just herself, as Ryan says. I do agree though- like fire breathing and pyrokinesis, it looks like the exact same ability called by two different names. Swm 07:21, 19 April 2010 (EDT)

- Perhaps this discussion should be taken to a theories page?User:derdev789
Her clothes
When she used the ability, why is her clothes not torn apart? No matter how stretchable her clothes are, surely it shouldn't shrink or grow to fit her size? Do you think this is an effect of her ability(meaning she can channel her ability to affect her clothes) or is just a mistake on the part of the artists?
