About
Six Months Ago
In the past, Hiro tells Charlie that they should go to the twenty-four hour Samurai Film Festival at the Drafthouse in Austin. Charlie protests that it's over 300 miles away from Midland. Hiro counters that they can still make it in time to see Yojimbo, Seven Samurai, and Hidden Fortress.
Villains
In 2006, Mr. Thompson and Meredith are paired to capture Danny Pine. They find Danny in a homeless tent village, where Thompson tells Danny that they are looking for war veterans like him and seeking better housing for them. Danny doesn't buy it and punches Thompson with a metal arm. Meredith sprays fire at Danny's arm, causing Danny to scream in pain. Then, she grabs a taser and electrocutes Danny, commenting on how easy the whole thing was.

Saving Charlie
- Daniel, the busboy at Burnt Toast Diner, is moving to Austin. (Chapter 9)
- Debra, Charlie's best friend from elementary school, lives in Austin now. (Chapter 16)
Notes
- Even though Hiro invites Charlie to a "24-hour samurai-film festival at the Drafthouse" (Six Months Ago), the real life Alamo Drafthouse Cinema does not actually hold a Samurai film festival.
