Out of Time
After teleporting into the future, Peter and Caitlin are forced to shower by the Department. When they are finished, they are separated and Peter meets with Howard Lemay, who shows him his death certificate and asks how he is in New York and why he isn't infected. When Peter asks where Caitlin is Howard tells her she's been deported to Ireland since she isn't American. He goes on to tell Peter about the Shanti virus and how it has killed 93% of the world's population. He shows Peter a room full of dead bodies, telling him, "It's been a tough week."
Later, the CDC brings in Peter's mother to try to help Peter regain his memory. Angela tells Peter about himself and his ability, trying to help him remember so he can return to his own time and change history before the virus kills everyone. After inadvertently reading his mother's mind, Peter realizes who she is and the two depart for home. Leaving, they spot Caitlin in the deportation line and Peter attempts to return them to their own time. Caitlin is pulled away from Peter before he can succeed and moments after being separated from her, Peter inadvertently teleports back to his own time leaving Caitlin behind in the CDC building.
Trivia
- According to Greg Beeman's blog, "a big deserted warehouse in Long Beach California" was used for the set of the CDC building. "We made use of its infrastructure without too many changes. Even the big gates and fences where the people are being herded out pre-existed."
