About
The Kindness of Strangers
Matt tells Molly about the night Maury left home--Matt was thirteen, and Maury gave him $120 and a pat on the head.
Out of Time
Maury brings Matt in the same nightmare he locked Molly in, Matt's childhood home. Using his powers, Matt brings Maury into the nightmare. Matt notices the brisket and potatoes on the table, and points out that the home is a duplication of the night in which his father left. Matt manages to leave the room with Molly, and locks Maury behind him.
Notes
- According to Greg Beeman's blog, Matt's childhood home was intentionally created to replicate the feel of an authentic 1970s apartment. "The wallpaper is real garish with paisley wallpaper in one room, and loud green wallpaper in the other. So, cuing off this, Nate decided to light the set like a 70's episode of Night Gallery. It's a very retro technique that resulted in a very cool look. Nate used all hard light from above the set with lots of cucaloruses. This means the lights were aimed directly onto the set from above, versus being bounced into some kind of a soft source."
Trivia
- Matt's childhood home was located on Parthenia.
