Fleeing Jessica on foot in rural Utah, D.L. Hawkins and his son Micah come across an abandoned cabin in the forest.

At the Cafe BBQ, Jessica fires her high-powered rifle at D.L. Hawkins and hits him in the shoulder. Injured, he grabs his son Micah and the money and together they run off into the woods. D.L. removes his bloody jacket and hangs it on a branch, and he and his son backtrack over their footprints to throw off Jessica's pursuit.

D.L. and Micah come across an abandoned cabin in the woods, and they approach to hide inside. The door is locked, but D.L. phases his arm through the door and unlocks it. D.L.'s injuries overtake him, and he blacks out.

Jessica has lost their trail in the woods, but she soon hears Micah's cries for help. Pretending to be Niki, she makes her way to the cabin and finds Micah on a rock outside. The hunter is now the prey, as D.L. surprises her, leaps out of the cabin, and hits Jessica with a shovel. Jessica loses her handgun, and as D.L. reaches for it, she kicks him across the clearing with her super strength. Micah tries to intervene, but Jessica throws him aside too. Seeing her son injured, Niki takes control, stops the fight, and apologizes to D.L. and Micah. She then turns herself in to the authorities.
