Source/Explanation
Alice says she thinks she can "control the weather". (1961).

Reason for article

We know nothing about the power other than a name. We've never seen it in action. There is no reason for this article. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:35, 27 May 2008 (EDT)

It was mentioned by Bob in Out of TIme so it must be somewhat relevant to then be included in a Graphic Novel. I have a strong feeling that "The Croatian" will be a Season 3 villain as he is now confirmed to have been imprisoned within the company.

  • The two events are not necessarily related. Bob mentioned a tidal wave, the Croatian has weather control. Although they might be linked, there's no proof that they are. Thus, the article needs to be deleted until something more substantial comes to light.--MiamiVolts (talk) 16:56, 27 May 2008 (EDT)
  • The power of weather control was never ever mentioned by Bob or anybody else. All Bob said was that the headline "Snow falls on Miami" could have read "Tsunami wipes out eastern seaboard." Now, if this power comes to light, we can maybe put this tidbit in a notes section, but it's certainly not an example of a power in use (not with the information we have presently, at least), and it definitely should not be the lead image for a power we know nothing about. I agree, I think we might see the Croatian at some point (though my hunch is it'll be in a graphic novel??), but we never create articles based on "a strong feeling". We need to delete the article and confine this to the few mentions that already exist on list of evolved humans and list of abilities. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:27, 27 May 2008 (EDT)
    • While this ability will eventually make it onto the show in one way or another, there's literally no information on it whatsoever. Delete. We have more information about deoxygenation than we do this. --NellaBishop 19:59, 28 May 2008 (EDT)

Page Re-created

Just a note to anyone looking at this, due to recent spoilers this page has been re-created, thanks --IronyUTC CH 17:13, 1 April 2009 (EDT)

  • It noticed the afd tag, I believe microwave emission had a spoiler page? --IronyUTC CH 13:32, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
    • Micro Emission's page was created the day of the episode it aired, I believe. --Crazylicious 17:56, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
      • Articles about abilities do have pages created before they air, so long as they are put in the spoiler namespace and have the correct spoiler tags. This one follows those rules, so it's fine. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:57, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
        • A bit early surely lads? its gonna be 2 and a half weeks until the episodes airs, lets take it slow --Lolwut 13:46, 3 April 2009 (EDT)

Weather manipulation

Sounds better, eh? More Heroes-like. --Altes 03:20, 3 April 2009 (EDT)

  • Better than Atmokinesis, anyways. --Piemanmoo 17:33, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
    • At this point, I'm just going off the message I got which said that Alice can "control the weather". We'll have to see what happens once the episode airs. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:55, 4 April 2009 (EDT)
  • It fits better with all the "Something manipulation" powers. Wanderer32 01:46, 14 April 2009 (EDT)

Meteorological Manipulation

I think this sounds a little more official, like Assignment Tracker-level. --Dkmboston 18:45, 4 April 2009 (EDT)

  • Penny calls the ability "weather control" in Faces, Part 1. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:54, 13 April 2009 (EDT)
    • That was more of a description than a name. Wanderer32 01:46, 14 April 2009 (EDT)
      • Weather control works fine imo, its vague enough to be correct at least --Lolwut 07:48, 14 April 2009 (EDT)

See also?

Do we add a see also section giving a link to electric manipulation? Both abilities are related to lightning. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:03, 15 April 2009 (EDT)

  • Yeah I think so too! When I watched episode I was hoping someone would bring this up:)Also I hope we see this ability again because Weather control may also be able to incorporate similar effects of Freezing(snow, ice),Water generation(Rain),and maybe even Flight(by riding air currents). We just have to wait and see!--Sylar Fan09 22:25, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
    • While I agree, until someone who can control the weather actually does that, I'm opposed to adding those abilities. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 14:55, 16 April 2009 (EDT)
      • Just listed those abilities as what Weather control may also be able to do, never meant to add them to the page, because it is completely speculation (electric manipulation, like you said earlier should be added to a See also becaue it's canon). In hind sight I probably should had put that in a theory page instead of the discussion page, sorry for the confusion. You just got me thinking about the possibles of this power. I really hope we see Weather control again, it seems like too good of a power to be used only once.--Sylar Fan09 22:51, 16 April 2009 (EDT)

Holders

Should Rossling and the Croation be listed as confirmed? There are sources for them. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:09, 15 April 2009 (EDT)

  • I think so. There is no reason they shouldn't be.-- Catalyst · Talk · HL 17:40, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
    • I agree. They have been CONFIRM by the Company as to having the ability. We just haven't seen them in action. To say they're unconfirm would be us disregarding the Company's credibility. --OutbackZack 18:08, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
  • No, if we were to treat this like other circumstances (namely Alex's) Alex wasn't confirmed to have a power untul we saw it in the Graphic Novel, even though he said that he had it in the previous episode. Therefore, as the Croation and Rossling have had not been confirmed to have these abilities by a demonsration through any portal (Graphic Novel, Episode, Webisode or Istory) they should not be classed as having this ability, but should be classed as unconfirmed --IronyUTC CH 18:13, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
    • Then we should list Khufu as unconfirmed for Levitation, as the GN only showed his kin use it --Carl Jung 08:12, 23 May 2009 (EDT)

Ability Immunity?

Is it possible that Alice has an immunity to her power as she dosen't appear to be blown around by the wind, like everybody else? --Darkphase 15:11, 15 April 2009 (EDT)

  • It seemed like she still needed to steady herself as much as everybody else. I'm not sure we can conclusively say she's "immune" to her power. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:23, 15 April 2009 (EDT)

EMPATHIC Weather Control...?

The weather only changed when she was angry, scared, etc. It seems connected to her empathy.

Name change to Empathic Weather Control? -- LimaBean 15:18, 16 April 2009 (EDT)

  • i wouldn't.. Just add it into her limits or notes. Maybe with more control she could control the weather no matter her emotions. --Peter 15:24, 16 April 2009 (EDT)
  • I think (like I do with Matt Jr.) that she can just manipulate the weather, but because of her age (or mental age at least) it's influenced by her emotions.
    • I'm not sure it's empathic only... my impression was that she could control certain aspects of her ability at will.--MiamiVolts (talk) 19:29, 16 April 2009 (EDT)
  • It's not completly depended on her emotions, just he same as peter works, at the beginning they use emotion, after a while they just can use it without it. I vote to stick with Weather control or Weather Manipulation -- WaterRatj
  • I say Alice has little control over her ability. Like Ted or Maya. Their powers seemed to be connected to the emotions too, since they unleashed them when they were 'mad or scared'. -- Altes 10:46, 27 April 2009 (EDT)
  • It is not empathy, because it's of one's mind not emotions, weather control is the best name, not weather manipluation etc., Alice can target the lightning at her choise. User:Serch Fd 8:18, 11 May 2010 (EDT)

What Alice can do with her power

Let's see. Which aspects may she manifest? She can already create lightnings, which is similar to electric manipulation.
She might also perform freezing. It's no big deal to make everything around herself very cold.
Flight? Maybe. She might control the wind in a way it would carry her. It may also allow her to perform telekinesis and/or seismic burst.
What else, what else... Dunno, to be honest. Your ideas? -- Altes 03:32, 21 July 2009 (EDT)

  • It can be levitate objects, big objects, something new? -- User: Serch Fd 8:21, 11 March 2010 (EDT)

Image

I want to change the image to this one. It clearly shows a lightning bolt inside an underground base, which is more representative of weather control (since it is almost impossibly unlikely for it to hit inside) than the one we have, which just looks like the wind. Anyone agree or disagree? --mc_hammark 20:13, 12 March 2010 (EST)

  • I don't mind. I don't have a strong opinion one way or another. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 08:03, 13 March 2010 (EST)
    • Even though there are other people in it, I'd rather use this one, since it shows both lightning and hints of wind. It isn't the case so far, but I would also prefer if it wasn't a flashback image. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 12:38, 13 March 2010 (EST)
      • I like that one better, IE. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:52, 13 March 2010 (EST)
        • I agree, we should get as many aspects as we can. --mc_hammark 12:53, 13 March 2010 (EST)
          • Personally, I prefer the first image suggested, but I don't have too strong of an opinion either way.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 21:37, 13 March 2010 (EST)
